Punta Cana/Bavaro
« on: December 27, 2017, 06:33:48 PM »
So, I arrive in Punta Cana  yesterday to find blue light closed, Jazzy's closed, limited action at Drink Pointe and ended up at American Showgirls, which was decent.

Thinking about pulling up stakes and heading to our favorite place Sosua, however I don't like the look of staring down the barrel of a 4 Hour drive.

Any insight, suggestions, and ideas about salvaging the trip here in Bavaro or  heading to Sosua would be great.

Also met a guy named Miguel AKA "Shawty"  Who seemed OK but is one of these born in the Dominican Republic, taken into the United States at a very young age, and probably deported from the United States to the Dominican republic for some low-level drug offense. Any Intel on him would also be appreciated. Thanks!

Not sure about the guy you mentioned. The first time o was there for a wedding I kicked it with this guy who worked at the resort and took me around to drink point and the over spots. I’ve turned friends and family on to him and he always looked out and took care of them. Here’s his info, he has whatsapp.. ‭+1 (809) 427-5565‬ Jose I also think it’s like a 6-8 hour drive from there to sosua, so not sure if that’s worth it.

@NP  Sorry to hear that.  I think that your best bet is Santo Domingo.  I fly in Saturday.  Like others stated, most of the chicas head home for the major holidays and this is one of them.  The others are Christmas and Easter.

The advantage of Santo Domingo NYE weekend are:
1.  It's a lot closer than Sosua (only 3 hour bus ride versus 8 hours to Sosua)
2.  The clubs like Oasis and Foxy's will still be open and Oasis usually had some dimes
   a.  Most of these chicas that work here live around SD, so they aren't going anywhere.
   b.  Pay the over priced amount, but only if they give you their WhatsApp and agree to meet you outside of Oasis
   c.  Oasis opens late, so you have plenty of time to hang with the chica during the day if she has to work
4.  There are other clubs on Av Pasteur near Av George Washington (el malecon)
3.  If you speak Spanish and can dance bachata, then head to Hangar on Friday and Saturday nights.
   a.  You will meet local Dominanas...keep in mind though that they are NOT putas!!!
4.  If you don't speak Spanish, then go to other tourist spots like Zona Colonial.
   a.  You will see chicas walking around
   b.  You can talk to other American, Canadians, Italians, etc. on where to go and what to do
5.  Head to Av. Venezuela any night...it is wild...but keep in mind that these chicas are NOT putas!!!
6.  Head JetSet tonight and Monday night...I will be there Monday night!!!
   a.  http://jetsetclubrd.com/eventos/
   b.  Again...not many putas here, but there are single women in the club.
7.  Head to the Malecon NYE.
   a.  There are 2 or 3 free concerts NYE night.  You can purchase beer on the streets from vendors.
   a.  Please be careful because if you stand out like a gringo, you could become a target for theft.
   b.  If you meet a nice chica from Oasis, plan something ahead because she is expected to be with the family until about
       1:00 AM.

I will have a dinner and party at my place NYE and from there we will head to the clubs.  You are welcome to join me, but not welcome to bring a puta.  Sorry, but the DR wifey and family would not be happy.  Dominicans can sniff that puta ish out with a quickness.

PM me if you are interested.  I will check the board tomorrow, but after that I probably won't get online.

Have fun and be safe!

PS   Miguel, AKA "shawty", does his breath reek?  I think I know who you're talking about.  He's always asking for a drink, then stand around you wanting to be your friend, and then will ask for 200 pesos to get something to eat.  I give him a drink, but nothing else...smh

Thank you so much man! Excellent rundown! I really appreciate it.

Actually, it's great that you sent along all this information regarding civilians and regular folks. I'm in town with a friend, we were actually just talking about talking to civilians instead of doing the mongering thing.  We both speak Spanish fluently, are in our late 30s/early 40s, not bad looking. I'll actually be in the capital from the 30th until the second, so I'll take you up on all your suggestions. Who knows, we may even meet up! I'll send you a message. Thanks again, so very much appreciated!

@NP  Glad I could help!  Raulin Rodriguez will be in concert at JetSet Monday 1/1.  It will be a big concert.  I will try to get a VIP table, but it will be difficult because I am currently in Chicago.  All the concerts this weekend will be awesome, but I like JetSet because you have a table and can sit down and enjoy the concert.  The entry fee keeps the riffraff out and attracts the higher end customers with their hot esposas o novias.
