I'm reluctant to take silence as confirmation, yet there are folks here with some significant financial exposure and Bourbon has on several occasions visited/posted to the board. My initial thought was that he'd reply quickly to quash the rumor. I guess the most optimistic view is that he doesn't know that the rumor has been posted and taken root here.

So is there any truth to any of this??? Any Facts?? I paid already I need to know dont want to get there in June with nowhere to stay.

The owner visits this board a lot, but so far ... crickets. You never tell people you are going out of business until you are sure you are going out of business -- which in the DR is hours before you close the doors for good. You can call and ask, but I'm sure they will tell you everything is fine. If I were you I'd still go but have backup plans for lodging just in case. Just so you know, there is no such thing as refunds in Sosua.

Of course he knows what's being posted here. I think you'll find that Bourbon Street will say nothing until he has concrete news to share. It's a smart business move, actually. When he was planning the big Greekfest he went completely radio silent on that after sharing some of the early plans. Then eventually he said it was a no-go.

If it was me I would be taking the same tact he is using now. Trust me, he knows what is being discussed here. He is not going to lie and say everything is fine -- if it is not. Nor is he going to say things are tough while he might be out trying to attract more investment. When he has something definitive to say he'll step up.

Listen I spoke to dude.... he always been stand up dude to me! I have nothing but respect... sometimes you need to check the source and then ask is it even worth addressing! This is a rumor on a bs monger site were 75% of the dudes are to cheap to go to Ahnvee! So what’s the need to address shit! You already try to attack bourbon st restaurant and the same niggas be in there faithfully trying to get 1500 peso chicas. Real talk ... if your credit is good your card will be refunded. Just have to say I was charged and never received what was offered. American Express platinum or chase reserved preferred will see shit is bogus and give your shit back! Now if you got that capital one... your fucked. Unless it’s venture one

Wishful thinking i suppose!
@PB not sire if this was ur intention, but if u in fact spoke with dude and this is what ur saying, odds r it is in fact going out of business!!

Well that's no way to run a business and I am not suggesting that Ahnvee would leave people up the creek like that. But PB your suggestion that folks should just stay home if they don't have an Amex Platinum to cover timeshare deposits is pure bullshit -- and I think you know that.

The fact of the matter is if ghat Ahnvee closes unexpectedly people won't be getting any money back. That goes for people who have booked for three nights on AirBnb and for folks who forked over ten grand for a membership.

And oh yeah, Amex nor any other card is going to reimburse the $10K. Meanwhile, I am wishing Ahnvee the best, but I wouldn't book there right now with all these rumors swirling -- even with my Platinum card.

Only time folks praise you is when your dead! That shit is corny! Nipsey Hussle effect! Bourbon has been trying to bring quality shit to Sosua only to have dudes try to smear his name! I wouldn’t say shit either. What for? How many times a person has to defend themselves to those who don’t matter

https://youtu.be/HOUCp8vmnYk. As Scarface says "never talk a nigger down, do your thing dawg, never hate a dude for trying that is the saying dawg".   I never hate a dude from trying to pop and make it better for others.  But, this board got a lot of haters and are not happy unless you playing at the bottom. You pop you arrogant you this or that.... You tell people to do well in DR work hard get your skills right, but people say forget that take shortcuts, but then ask how to stop a bad bitch on the street in a major city with no Spanish.
You know what I am saying...  Let's go through some of them:

No one tips in Sosua

Do not tip the waitress because bill is loaded

Try to lowball as much as possible

Five star hotels around the world for a reason because when people travel they like to stay comfortable, but on here frowned upon.  Million dollar houses all around you and you do not see it because you stay in a 5 block radius, but you should not stay in a nice place.....

Bad bitches have fled Sosua in numbers, but low margin dudes happy and say okay.  Nothing wrong with that stick too the number fellas....

This is the only place I ever heard dudes say I do not fuck with pretty girls because I will get starfish.  You cannot be serious, that is all on you player not her.....Dominican girls in the game will not pretend if you wack...

But I am arrogant, yea; right because I work hard and do not take short cuts.  Guess again.  Shit @PB!I might have to come in with you and we give a party trust me calls made ain't no police chasing chicks up and down the block. Not arrogance just power use it when you need it....

Now, am I lying like I said shortly back before on another post.  Do not have too..   I am who I am....

Appears someone is looking at Ahnvee through Rose Colored Glasses.  All good to think they are going to survive and I hope they do but the reality is they have way to many things working against them for long term survival.

My guess is that a certain someone invested his 10,000 in the place and is holding out hope of survival even though he knows it was a very foolish thing to do.

Anyone who would prepay a single dime much less 10K for the right to stay at a place that probably never ever gets above 25% occupancy is a fool.

The business model there is so severely flawed that they are no doubt doomed to fail it is just a matter of when and the when is likely when the investors stop dumping money into the place.

No way in hell that place is earning enough revenue on its own to sustain itself.

I have been past the place at least a dozen times since it has opened and  you can tell that there are virtually no guests staying there.

I choose not to stay there not because i am cheap but because I don't see that the place provides adequate value for the money spent and I have no problem affording the place.  But some people choose to not make stupid decisions with their money.

People who claim others are cheap are also the same people who are paying the chicas 100-150US or more on a consistent basis.

You guys that are paying these girls that kind of money should know that the chicas think you are complete fools and laugh about you all the time.

The management might have something to say but an educated eye knows when a place is in trouble.

Are the employees lying when they say they sometimes don't get paid when they are supposed to?

I was in Sosua over new years and Bourbon Street was not even open.  Not because they were renovating the place but I would assume it was because they made the decision that it was not economically feasible to be open during that time.

In all fairness to full disclosure.  I just go to sousa to have fun do not pay for pussy.  I just like to hang out.  Does not make me better than anyone.  The one thing and I agree with @DeeDaDon on this if you can get off the block and have game your price point for a regular hot chick is a lot cheaper.  A lot of times it's a wine and dine and other things not straight pay for play, but will work out for a lot cheaper.  Now some will say to much effort, but you doing the same thing if you trying to mack hotel or Bailey waitresses.  That will be more work if you have weak game.

Also, I find interesting everyone complains about weekend warriors, but when do the hotter chicks come to sosua?

Grownmen share rooms in Sosua. So, maybe incomes are much lower than people think and cannot afford to stay at nicer places. You got money on vacation I would think you stay in a nice place. Everywhere else you travel and you have money you stay at a nice place.  Why would Sosua be any different unless people have less income. Staying at a nice place in Sosua will not break the bank if you have some money.

Unless you are someone that is investing money in a business in Sosua and are also there to run that business everyday any kind of investment into anything in Sosua is completely and totally a risk that the investor has not really adequately considered.

Buying a membership in something that you have no ownership in is beyond stupid all you are doing is prepaying your hotel room for several years and getting it at a discount.

Figure out how long it would take to get your money back.

Those that really have the resources never talk about it.  It's those that think they have it all are the ones that are always bragging about themselves.  (Not directed at anyone in particular but it doesn't take to long to figure out what group they fall into)

I do hope that Anhvee succeeds but if you really look into the business plan you can easily tell it has little chance of success

If the ownership really gets the Dream City project rolling forward than Ahnvee will have to survive off from it's own revenue.  So better prepay them memberships if you want to stay there long term
