Chinese Invasion
« on: October 06, 2018, 04:26:35 PM »
So I hear the Chinese are making a serious play in Sosua. They are little by little buying up all of the big spaces that are vacant. The latest move is perhaps the most interesting. They just finalized a deal to lease the old dlatins spot. Willy has officially given the spot up. He realized that the powers that be for the time being are serious about moving everything to the new red light. The Chinese have not been clear on what their intentions are for the space but the word is that they are looking to compete with Bourbon Street, and Rumbas in the nightime restaurant/sports bar space.

Does the sosua government really think they can turn sosua into a family friendly destination? It’s a small town with no real infrastructure. There are no real attractions. Don’t get me wrong, I understand being a visionary and planning for the future but sosua would need ALOT of work to turn into a legitimate destination for families. I’m not even talking about the prostitution.

Definitely don’t think they are trying to turn the place into a family destination. I think they just want to separate the 2. Mongers stay on 1 end other people on the other end. It’s pretty simple.

I find it funny when people say “do they think they can change”.... well they will never know if they don’t try! It’s obvious they don’t care about mongers money and if you meet a Dominican in the states and tell them you go to Sosua.... watch their frown! Listen money talks and if  people with power and money are willing to make moves to change .... then it’s possible!

Chinese aren't ready for a sosua "shakedown"

ummm let's see, if low IQ Dominican locals can run shit, Why can't high IQ with deep pocket Asians??
If Russians are taking over most part of the north coast, why can't Chinese with their ability to withstand lots of shit throughout all over the world?
Now, before some idiots here come up with shit like " well Chinese are not from the streets,,,,," rest assure mob/gangsta mentality is not unique in the western hemisphere.

JMHO.

Chinese are actually building significant influence in every developing country in the world. Not a topic for this board but unfortunately the imbeciles in Washington have no clue whats going on. Sadly in generations to come it's our children and grandchildren that will feel the effects.

China now has the DR in it’s pocket after promising economic assistance if the DR ended relationships with Tawain. While there’s probably no direct connection between that and what’s appears to be going on in Sosua it may have incented some ethinic chinese to make some major financial moves under the impression that the DR government might be reluctant to undermine a well financed group of Chinese investors out of fear of possible political ramifications with the Chinese government. I’m doubtful that anyone in Sosua would want press reports right now about Dominican government officials fucking over Chinese businesses connected with mainland Chinese interests.

I have. It's on Duarte street. There's not much there to call it China Town except for a couple of Chinese restaurants and shops that are owned by Chinese.
