The Moors invaded Europe from African before 1000 A.D. They occupied the southern part of Europe from Italy thru much of Spain. They, being of Africa, were dark-skinned an dark hair. They stayed nearly 400 years and that changed the genetics as the African genes are dominant traits. The blue-eyed blonde haired Europeans that dominated that area has changed to dark eye an eyes every since.  I'm an American of European decent and family has lived in America for 400 years and I still have olive skin and dark hair. Shakespeare's, Othello, was a Moor. It's purely racist for anyone to to believe they are better simply due to the shade of you skin. It has been going on since before that time. With the latest things happening in the US, we still have it. Donald T wanting to kick out "illegals" (Mexican and Central Americans). Lincoln, the same guy who signed the emancipation proclamation, wanted to send the freed slaves to Central America or back to Africa but was assassinated before pushing it throughcongress. This is nothing new. Trujillo attempted this with the killing of Haitian people. Sosua was a refuge for Jews during WW2 in hopes of strengthening the European "look."  It is strange that Dominican don't consider themselves as black. No matter where you go in Latin American and Caribbean, many won't admit it but they don't want someone too dark in there family. From the US to S. AM and the Caribbean, this is so. This doesn't make it right, but if you think its different somewhere else, look again. I've seen it up close having lived in a few of these places.

Oh god you get your history from the True Romance movie.  I have heard it all now.  Clifford Worley come on down.

Good for you.  I am Black American and I walk everywhere I go and I have been picked up for being Haitian, for 9 years.  They always let me go at the police station but it is bullshit.  I go to Haiti now and not Port au Prince.  I wont say which part because I don't want a bunch of Sosua idiots fuckin it up.  The most u would give a girl there is 400 pesos (500 gourdes) and there is no bait and switch and no cop calling for extortion.  Paying 2000 pesos or more is insane in a third world country.  I always kept it around 1000 pesos and that's really too much.  Dominican Republic is a third world country but you idiots have made Sosua a first world city.
