Interesting,  I was done at the beach for the day on my way home and was passing by all of that commotion.    I walked around it and kept it moving.   The chick that was with me. was acting sensible.   She didnt want any parts of that drama either.  Walked hurried past while everyone else was trying to get closer to see what was going on.
Where you stand on the issue depends on where you sit.  The words enough, some, many , to whom it applies to, does not mean ALL of any people, places or things.

She sounded like she was Haitian and said she had a visa to be there. I think she was telling someone behind her to fuck off and they we doing those actions because Dominicans don't like black people. Not Americans, but Haitians that are generally darker.
...I'm usually wrong...but that sh!t was great!

Why don't they just pull out their guns and shoot the fucker in the leg like they did to that dominican guy on the beach a couple years ago?
Problem solved?

it would set an example for other idiots who think about disrespecting people in a foreign country.

I am all for deterrents.  A better option would be for the locals to teach him some manners instead of the cops shooting him and causing an international incident.

It isn't a deterrent.  Some foreigners seem to get off on the casual violence of the Dominican police.  Most of them don't remotely have any idea how fucked up that shit can gets.  They have to have a bit of restraint around tourist and expats.  It is a dangerous precedent to encourage certain behavior simply because it doesn't affect you today because it might not always be the case.  That said, it is very rare for police in a tourist area treat a foreigner like that.  I wonder what is happened.

For the police to try to take him down and probably cuff him, he must have pissed em' off big time.
