Cigar places in Puerto Plata
« on: February 15, 2019, 10:20:02 PM »
I wrote last year about the spot behind the fire station. “Puerto Plata Cigar Club?” I cant remember something like that. Good humidor fully stocked of very high end cigars. I bought a couple of Andeluthian Bulls for about $24 each.

Not feeling that flush this year I found a place around the corner “Vivante?” Cant remember that either... Shit! Anyway, house rolled cigars nicely branded, $3 for some, $7 for others, they were fine.

The old boy who owns the place was very personable and knew his stuff.

But for the life of me, I don’t know why a decent cigar place with good value products of their own feels the need to sell fake shit. All the fawken beach cigars are fakes, I called out the guy by Bon for selling fakes, even the cafe had some! Dont do it!

Forgive the rant. Vivant is good value in a house rolled cigar, a comfortable spot to sit and have a smoke and a rum ( leather product seating, should give a clue about the Cubans) they will also offer to take you upstairs to tour the rolling room.

But I think the cigars of the trip were the Auroras bought at Jumbo for less than five bucks and smoked at home on the deck.
