No, Dominican news. Nothing to do with Sosúa or Mongers other than a show of what the American murderer will get.

Then again... The guy who killed Emerly was from a wealthy and connected family. If he gets 30, buddy may go down for longer.

This is about a lady named Emely.  She I believe she is from San Francisco de Macoris and was killed by her Dominican husband.

This has nothing to do with the idiot in Sosua.

Emely's news has hit the entire DR.

She got pregnant and didn’t want to take the abortion pills.. so he killed her.

Big time protests in Nagua, tires burning in the streets folks yelling for justice....

His mother who did not want her son to have a child with a poor girl pretty much organized the botched abortion plans and then the murder.

The country is pissed she only got 5 years.

If women's prison is anything like the mens... She will be in tough!

That's usually how long it takes, unless you ask for an expedited trail

It takes awhile, the DR justice systems moves slowly.  Frankie Fixit’s trail lasted three years.  I followed the whole thing, it’s  actually chroniclelized on DR.1.  Reads like a novel,  but it’s an absolute true story.  In the end when Frankie and Geraldine were found guilty, Frankie threaten to go on a Hunger strike.  Of course, that didn’t happen he has eaten and he is still serving his 30 year sentence.  A bunch of folks are pissed because Geraldine only got 8 years.  But she turned states evidence on Frankie told them where they could find body parts and how he committed the murder.  They also gave her 30 grand from Frankie’s back account to seal the deal.
