Sosua Synopsis
« on: May 30, 2018, 11:13:49 AM »
As I sat on the Strip the past few nights,  I did alot of thinking and talking to fellow ex pats and vets alike as well as a few Newbies. I took some notes down to share.. This is MY Views, My Opinions and My conversations..

You may not agree, you may not like it. But to know me is to know I always speak facts.

Different ways Guys get action.....

Pipeline
- Usually Social media and the many different sites (Tinder/Dom Cupid/Lat Cupid/FB/IG) Guys get in and network through friends list or so on. Or get a down ass chic that will introduce to all her friends..  Myself, I suck at Social Media but have seen guys have GREAT success with it..

Slow Roll
- Even with Pipeline you have some who hit the strip and freestyle and see where things go. Strolling up and down PC getting numbers and slowly checking the action. Taking their time and trying to get quality over quantity

Long Game
- I dont do this but I have seen it done a lot. The same way, girls run the LONG GAME on guys, I have also seen Guys run the Long Game on chics. Basically promising Visas, Love and money.. Just to get some snatch for cheap or free.

Rush Hour
- This is the snatch and grab mentality.. Guys just want to hit everything possible... Get one, knock it down, Eat then repeat..

One Stop Shop
- Some will grab numbers all day, Stalk out their prey and wait until the end of the night to offer a number. Trying to get the best quality at lower price.

Im sure there are different ways and some use different methods. These are only a few I have come across and mentioned in conversations...

@Playa Jefe, Why are you so negative? Are you down here? Because the strip has been alive and well.

Info

This perfectly leads me to my next topic... INFO I really wonder where it comes from... Local Motos? Girls? Rumor? I mean it amazes me the nonsense I hear on a daily basis. People really spread Misinformation and its usually something they man who in Cancun heard from a waitress who has a dominican boyfriend who lives in cuba... Like WTF?
And then Most of the INFO is coming from some who aint even book a flight. How you giving info on DR from West Virginia??

Be Weary of your source of info. The things I heard this weekend were utterly amazing.

Brief History...

When I first came, Rumba was a tiny and empty little bar. El Flow (Currently Pratinium) Was small but it was where all the action was, especially since they had Curbside seating.  Flow was really small so when seats ran out we ventured over to Rumba. Small but cool and music was always a mixture of everything (Before the DJ) Where as Flow ONLY played Latin Music..

So we made Rumba our go to spot for a while but the FIRST stop was always El Flow. Latinos was cool (Currently Bourbon ST) and we did walk throughs in the disco in the back prior to going to classico.. At the time they had two pool tables out front (Where the Bar is at Bourbon)  Lots of locals hung out at the pool tables so the vibe was pretty cool.

There were Many incidents at El Flow (You can find on Youtube) So Americans didnt feel safe, ENTER Rumba.. A place where we could get away from the nonsense of Flow and feel safe.
Flow was still the spot, but most didnt feel safe. too many incidents so guys steered clear.

I gave that history because as I sat outside Flow, it was the same vibe as years ago. Rumba being empty and no longer a haven for hoes, in the time it was closed El Flow became the go to spot again and now its HUGE inside so there is more space for more people and then Latinos (Bourbon St) place to eat and chat..

So the MORE things change, the more they stay the same...

I was there from May 22 to May 29 and even on weekdays, sosua was lit.
Now I know it's not what it was 5 or 10 years ago ... that I understand.

I am not a vet ... only my 3rd trip in Dom rep, 43, overweight, I have a semi-functionnal spanish since I am taking lessons back home and I don't know the fuck how to dance.
Even though, I could say that any person who says that sosua is dead and that there are no chicas to chose from is either an idiot, blind or don't know how to carry himself.

I am far from a 1000 pesos jedi, I don't fuck for free, and I don't have the so called "game". But I know how to carry myself, I respect the people as long as they respect me, and I don't treat women there as "putas" but as womans.

For sure Sosua changed, but fun still can be had ... lots of fun IMHO

Locals

I dont just mean the natives, Some of these ex pats or deportees.. I love seeing dudes either speak a ton of spanish and act like they are BIG shit or speak NO spanish and act like they are BIG shit. They seem to be the biggest scum bags..  I try and distance myself from alot of these kats..

Also Deportees.. I know alot of em. One who blew my mind was the waiter/security at Flow... Dude came up like an american with a southern twang and then said he was from NY..
We asked what part and he said Harlem and Brooklyn  (Cue the confused DOG face) If you know, then you know you cant be FROM Both places.
Either way, he later admitted to being deported and now working at flow. seems very cool and helps kats communicate with the staff. Service still sucks but Flow is MY Classicos.

I always get action

The Sweeps

So Last night, If you were out the chics were running track meets every 5 minutes.. I asked my boy WHY they were messing with the girls, especially since it was quiet and a Tuesday.
I was told they were NOT bothering the girls at all. They were looking for two motos and a chic who robbed a tourist.. he girls just started bugging everytime a jeep rolled by. Go Figure

Nah.....I'm not down there, but I come about every 2 months for the last six years and have watched the downfall up close. Social media did a number on Sosua. I still like it, but it's gettin' blown-up waaaay too much lately.

Platinum Club is definitely my favorite spot in Sosua.  All the other clubs I've been to just doesn't feel like the DR...great for tourists, but definitely no DR swag to them.

I agree with @Bach & @VP

Premium is my shyt, after eating at B.street that’s where u can find me lol

It is the ONLY place in sosua that makes me feel like I am in RD, the rest of the places are American-Wanna-Be joints
So I care less about Rumba,,, y’all can miss me with that
@VP I hope ur spot ain’t like that lol,,, have some Dominican food and Latin music and u shall find me there on the daily 🤷🏻‍♂️😁

I agree with Playa, man you tell your man to chill with these damn videos talking about memorial day bring your own chicas or chicas will be on the boat. Like WTF. Cuba Dave Jr. Why in God's Name do you have to do a damn video on the place every damn day. Look at Educated traveler video on his vlogs, do you ever see a video about chicas in this mans video-NO!!!!! He keeps it educational and how to spend your money and the Do's and Don'ts of living in paradise, where to rent cars, buy cars, insurance, where to travel to, grocery shopping Etc. Now TMD talking about all these other things. Here is another crazy thing. my boy was in Highland park in Brooklyn- if you know where that is, for a memorial day BBQ. Well two sistas came up to him and started asking him about Sosua and told him that they now know the reason why men go there. Then they started talking about your Man's video and that's all they talk about in their office at their job, and that they are on the way-Like WTF. Really???? He was so pissed that he threw his food out and walked the F off. My home boy who travels with me asked him what did they say, he told him, and he was pissed. Now he told his co-workers and now they are pissed. Now  you see how the shit spreads like wild fire. Ya'll are so damn silly I swear, you cant keep shit secret, now ahvee have pool party video  with dudes face all up in the shit while they were not even looking (SMFH). what's next, CNN, or Fox News??? Enough already man Sheeeshhhh..

@NY

TMD ain’t doing this for the team,,, he doing it to get paid lol and I ain’t mad at him, I would’ve done the same thing too 🤷🏻‍♂️😅

He seem like a good dude no doubt but his approach to promote his concierge business is WRONG

Let me tell u how he care less about y’all than y’all think he does!!! He knows females would expand his concierge income with private parties and Realestate “actually he mentioned in a video that he helped 2 or 3 Black women getting property down in sosua” and y’all know he got a cut out of it lol

My take for this, if he REALLY care about the brothers aka black men, he wouldn’t promote and try to bring what made these brothers leave America in the first place “American women” lmfao

I would’ve done it differently,, I would still use YouTube but I would approach it from another angle

Overall, his info is still solid, he doesn’t seem like a 55 year old asswhole lmfao and he is living his dream “big up to him👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼“

He doesn’t affect my life in any shape or form, so if u are reading this TMD u are Golden my guy 👌🏼

I agree to a point.. I was asked a million times to do Videos and I am just not into that.. I hear the checks are NICE but In front of a camera is NOT my thing. Im from the flip phone era.

@Deedadon, My place is a laid back Sports Bar and Restaurant. We play all music and have a different vibe.   But at night I do enjoy hanging in the NON Tourist bars/clubs. I get more action
