Title: Is bottle service worth it in classicos
Post by: Loslivingood on September 04, 2016, 10:35:27 PM
Hey goes should we do bottle service in Classico or is it a waste of money?
Title: Re: Is bottle service worth it in classicos

Big waste of money. You will attract more trouble than its worth. Now you have everyone in the place thinking you have the most money to spend.

Chicas will ask for more money and the beggers, pickpockets, and all other criminals will consider you the best target.

Lmao! Don't listen to this bullshit!
1) Classicos is a sweat box jammed packed! So you will be waiting at the bar forever for a drink! And if you have a large group!
2) the only attention you will get is the better looking chicas who insist on getting more than 2000 pesos to fuck!
3) Dominican thugs.... That's an oxymoron! Dominicans only prey on the weak! I've never seen Dominican thugs in the club! Dudes are shook! I wish scary non street smart people stop saying shit this! You have to fear the police more than the Dominicans on the street!
4) if you like comfort and wanna chill and if your use to bottle service in the states ... Then by all means .... It's the way to go!
I hate when people misinterpret bottle service with poppin bottles! Bottle service is a comfort of having a bar staff serve you instead of you going in line and waiting! Yes you pay more but like any other services it cost! Has nothing to do with being a show off or acting like a morons!

As for prices! You will spend about $100 to $150 for VIP bottle service. 2000 pesos for VIP then about 3000 to 4500 for a bottle. The mark up is pretty much double the store cost. Where in the states the mark up is 10x or more! I look at it as a $100 bottle special. Each bottle makes about 8 to 10 drinks.....your looking at $10/drink which is cheap club prices in the states! Yes your in DR it suppose to be cheaper! Basically it is because that bottle of Henny in bottle service cost $500 and up! That $50 per drink! Oh yea try ordering a Henny and Coke at the bar! The price changes with ever bartender! 500 pesos one time and then 700 pesos! Please!

Bottle service is the way to go in Classico. That place gets really pack.
See I'm a alcoholic. I need my bottle of vodka in front of me at all times. I can't be standing on line 30 min for my fix

Thanks man. Bottle service it is. We aren't looking to stunt or ball out down there. I already know we gonna get the bitches. We are looking for convenience (not standing in long lines for a drink) and a place to sit while practicing my Spanish with chicas.

Words of advice take care of the VIP early! Go by there in the day! Lock it down! If VIP is booked take the chairs and tables by the door!

10/4. I touch down on 9/15. I might just stop in and reserve on that Thursday for Friday and Saturday night just to lock it in.

If you with a group I say go for it and split the costs. Its pennies on the dollar compared to American clubs. If you solo, there's no reason to cop a table bcuz you probably won't be in there long.

It will be me and two others. We are definitely going with bottle service and vip. Solely for the purpose of space.  It will be to crowded in there and I don't feel like being crammed up.

I was just there this past labor day weekend, lil shorty the DJ usually let the people who had bottle service come back during the day and lace him with what tracks they wanted to hear.  It was packed Fri-Sun, however the bartenders took care of us, 30 minutes for a drink did not happen to us at all, tip well and they will come straight to you.  Plus chica's ain't buying drinks unless they had a daytime score.

Saturday is ridicuolous, get there early, I mean like 10:30 and everything is still going to be reserved.  Best way to go is go during the day and reserve the spot you want.

Its still somewhat disheartening to see Rumbas closed up like that... Bourbon street and Baileys or a strong whats-app got you through the day and oh the Beach on Sunday Oh my gosh!!!  Make sure you check for a chico as it is family day, but plentiful non-pro's and pro's in string bikini's....

When we went for SIMPFest 1 we had the VIP most of the nights we were there.  To me this was the best way to go  because we were guaranteed a place to sit.  I also don't like wasting 30 minutes in line to buy a drink, so having my Extra Viejo by my side was definitely the way to go.  Enjoy!

Shades is a necessity, I had them on all three nights and only took them off when I was hunting...

They only recently started charging to sit in the "VIP" section. The first time I recall them charging was FEB 2015. Unless you flying solo it is def worth paying that 2000 pesos for the "VIP" seating. Ordering a bottle is up to you. Once you pay the 2000 pesos you can order single drinks from the waiters (they stay coming around frequently). A bottle of RUM isn't but 1200-1500 pesos though. And the little tables right below the VIP seating are $1000. Not sure which one I prefer. The VIP seating gives you a better vantage point to scope out the honeys. I hope these prices haven't changed since the last time I was there (DEC 2015).

I'm not to worried about price so long as the overall experience is good. We do bottles service here in US and its 4/5 times more expensive I'm sure.  I was more so concerned with the service level of the staff "would they be attentive and take care of us".

I never got charged for sitting at the little tables below the VIP by the dance floor. You have to be drinking to sit there and they will come around often to attend to you. They even kicked a group off the table that was there just taking up space for us. That was in 2015 though so maybe things have changed.
As far as VIP, on the weekends it may be worth it but during the week they let me sit there plenty of times without paying for it because they never sell them out during that time. Its really not worth it because the place isn't as packed. Just like the tables though, you have to be drinking and they will attend to you frequently.

Its worth it. I was there on 9/16-9/19 and it was jammed packed. Bottles service was definitely worth it. I'm headed back on 10/28 with my cousin for his first trip. We doing bottle service again. I'm thinking we gonna bring 4/5 chics over to us to party then take em back to the villa. He wants to fuck four bitches at the same time. I told him it's possible if you set the tone right. This nigga on some porno shit but I can't hate. I was the same way my first trip. I know I went off a little but bottle service is definitely worth it. At least in my opinion.

Anyone can sit in an area IF it is not reserved.  Some Waiters will sit you at a table without a reservation.  You will have to get up if someone with a reservation shows up.

I hate doing that to people, but if I paid for my spot then they have to go. The security and waiter staff will take care of everything.

Go for VIP bro....you won't regret,,,like others said, you will be the center of attention, positive attention that is....these chappis want to feel important and be chosen by the VIP guys for show off perpososes on their Snapchat and insta lol...they will all try to make eye contact with you,,,
Plus, the drinks are cheaper if you slit between your buddies,,,
Go and book in advance, they for 2000 pesos tables and 3000 pesos tables
If you don't want to pay for tables but still want VIP,,,ask for the chairs in the middle of the club,,,,it is also facing the dance floor....not bad at all,,you get the beat view lol....

@ Dee  It is a Locals spot but I have been in there 6 times on weekends and never been vibed. A good place if have chica and just want to drink and dance. On weekends they have A/C and if drink like the Dominicans do getting bottles and large beers can save a lot of pesos. Not much American music but they play bachata merengue then reggaeton in a set in that order. A good place to be seen and will be approached later especially if you are treating your chica good.

Ok i will admit it. i have officially become and old fart. Where in the hell did millennials get the idea that being served a bottle of really cheap and over priced champagne in a tacky assed so called cub surrounded by low class hoes was the hieght of high classness?? I mean I just do not get it.

I think that's my problem too. I'm just a cynical old man that has been clubbing for four decades so I got a totally different idea about what constitutes a great night out. I've also got so many years invested in maintaining my brand that I really can't relate to pretending to be something I'm not or experiencing some fantasy existence for two weeks out of the year. The me you meet in Sosua is the same me you'll meet in LA. I understand that some folks can get a charge out of pretending; however, it just seems a bit empty and disingenious not to always want to be yourself.

OK so being able to afford a VIP for comfort and convenience is a tacky thing to do?!!!!!!!!

If you, me or @Jazzy are  able to live like this "financially comfortable" to be able to do the same things and more back in the states, why is it bad for the ones who can't manage the same service in their state, but can once they are in DR or Mexico or....another country?

Stop making these folks feel bad,,,they are in a vacation, who wants to keep it "100" in a vacation, be yourself?!!! So getting a VIP might make you loose your identity or something?!!!!!!!! Just because I can't afford a service at one location but can manage to afford it at another makes me fake, or makes me loose grip of my reality!!!!!

My my my,,,what the fuck is wrong with yall

Let these guys party on and enjoy their vacation "even if it's at a tacky so called club surrounded with cheap hookers",,,,isn't that why people go to vacations? To be able to do things they can't do wherever they live,,,and to be able to take a break from keeping it "100" all the dahhm time!!,  then why take a vacation if you are expected to keep it "100" and not live above expectation a little?

You expect these folks to live within their means even when they can do a little more just because they are not doing it back home!!!!
Stay home then and do "YOU" why bother with a trip lol....smh

I rest my case

I hear what you're saying, yet to me there's something disrespectful about pretending to be the big shot when you're around folks that don't have much.

I've been away for a while gents.  I hope all of you are doing well!

Premium bar is my favorite bar in Sosua.  But I go to the Dominican Republic to be surrounded by the culture and their music.  The Premium bar is not my favorite club in the DR, but it is the best in Sosua for playing Dominican music.

Go on vacation.  Try different things.  That's the whole point!

If we applied the same misguided reasoning and judgment of the naysayers then one shouldn't rent a boat to go big game fishing because you don't do that at home.

Don't go scuba diving or snorkeling on the tropical reef...  unless you do back home.

Don't ride mountain bikes or quads or motorcycles through the jungle-  unless you do back home.

The whole thing is ludicrous, condescending and judgmental.

Let people get bottles in clubs that might be too expensive for them back home.

Stop trying to rain on people's parades.

Even buying the ticket and getting on the plane and going overseas gives one a feeling of being a jet setter or player, compared to other people.

Those who judge are hypocrites. They have their island swagger; no doubt.  They may buy cigars they usually don't smoke. Get massages when they usually don't. Eat well & Leave big tips. Golf. Drink more. Give $ to beggars. Upgrade your room. Get the one with a jacuzzi. But what if you don't have a jacuzzi at home?!

Everybody does something different. Try to be more self-aware.

Be happy for people who get a bottle and are happy. Why does the bar sell them?  Because movie stars and celebrities show up so often?

Get real.  Please.

@ Sam      Yes many like to show out when in Sosua but if you are in a Dominican bar other than Classicos. Buying a bottle will save you a lot money compared to buying individual drinks also if you return to place more than once if you tip decent you will get much quicker service.

@seanSLO  I do the same thing.  A small bottle of Extra Viejo, 911, and limes are cheap.  A larger bottle at a true Dominican spot is usually around $1,200 pesos, so you definitely get your monies worth by buying a bottle.

Curious, you keep saying it's a good deal, how much is the bottle?

@ Dee  For a small bottle, 911 and ice  it was 600 peso but could get 5 - 6 depending on how strong mix it. In liquor store small bottle is around 250 , 911 65 so they are only doubling there money but an individual drink is like 250 peso so you can see how that can add up.

@Dee  Brugal Extra Viejo is an aged rum.  It therefore has a smooth taste to it.  For me it is the best bang for the buck as far as drinks in the DR or anywhere else for that matter.  I always bring a few bottles back with me and use it as the base for mamajuana.

@Dee  Yes, just put more into the mamajuana bottle.  The bottle should last at least 5 years if properly maintained.  I recommend this mixture:  80% Extra Viejo, 20% Port Wine, honey, and fruit.  The fruit such as raisins or whatever will last many years and will absorb some of the alcohol.  When it dissolves you will get a few pieces every once in a while and will just add to the mystery of mamajuana!!!  I recommend taking out the eucalyptus leaves though because they taste terrible (it's a pain in the ass though).

I cant speak for Classicos but spent 3 nights partying in Premium bar. Much cheaper buying bottles then individual drinks. Small bottle of Extra Viejo with 911 was 600 peso got 6 drinks out of it between me and chica but also can get other bottles there.

Have not been to this spot can someone put me on. Also how many ppl can the VIP sit in Classico?

It is 100% worth it to get VIP service in Clasicos if you're planning to stay and enjoy the festivities. If you're just pulling a female than no absolutely not it is a waste of money. But if you're going to spend the whole night there and you're going to drink anyway it will save a Tonna money plus you can fit as many as your boys as you want in there meaning you'll have all the space you'd like you have all the Alba room you need to dance grind whatever you want to do with the females that you choose.

But no I had a time that there's really only about six VIP spaces that are worth it the VIP section right next to the bar is not worth it because you're still being bumped and pushed around but the ones that are roped off like in the corner next to the bar or along the wall as you walk in are the best

Yes they have white Hennessy and last time I checked they charge about 6000 pesos I'm not quite sure bro..  i'll go find out today for you
