Anyone familiar with "Hotel Villa Taina" in DR/Sosua
« on: April 14, 2019, 11:23:53 PM »
I can get a huge amount of miles, which will go towards my next trip if I stay there. It's not a deal breaker if I can't, just curious.

Also is the hotel good for mongering lol!

Depending on your wants and needs.

This property is located in Cabarete, which is a bit of a hump if you plan on being in Sosua daily.

Seen this video a couple months ago. He stayed there. Fast forward to 23:45.

Never stayed there myself, but mongering goes on in Cabarete as well. Just ask the hotel about their guest policy.
We all 'monger' different *shrug*

Had lunch there but never stayed. Better for windsurfing than kiting. Its a long way from ideal for our purposes. Stayed across the street for a month a few years ago. Ordered delivery on the whatsapp most days.

I would not take a moto, its too far and on the highway. Public taxi, maybe 50RD, not 100% sure, maybe $100Rd but not much more. Regular taxi is $600rd. And even if you have a car, parking is not great at that hotel.

How was the mongering scene?
Women need a reason to have sex. Men just need a place. Sosua will do just fine.

That's a good video!  It's one of the (3) highways [the right side route] that go from Santiago to Sosua and though I've never driven that way, I've always been curious about what it looks like.  It's perfect for those people that don't want to drive the, ]middle], shortest route over the mountain.
...I'm usually wrong...but that sh!t was great!
