You men say it is easy lol. There are probably onlya couple of men on this site that may dance close to these styles and I said close. What is easy is basic bachata. This is not basic bachata. They move their hips in away that has been in them since they were kids, their culture.

I'm tryna get to this level

post a video
of real dominican bachata
excuse me if my comment came out rude...but what i meant is most of the styles in those videos are nice but that's not how most Dominicans dance bachata...now Rodolfo in video 3 knows Dominican bachata but lately i noticed he adapted his style a lot to the fancy moves and turns of the American and European bachata instructors which not really reflects the way the real bachata coming from Dominican republic is....there is many bachata styles in the Dominican republic (i always compare the bachata in the dr with kung fu from china they have a lot of variations ...crane,mantis,dragon,drunken,and so for ) and most of them depends on what region the people that dance it comes from but one thing  they all have in common is they have learned it passing it along from family to family not from a dance school with  a lot of salsa turns and difficult foot patterns to remember  ...they dance it from there soul and the way they feel the music and that's makes their style unique yet simple and sensual especially when the ladies dance it..... NOT that dance school bachata you see portrayed all over you tube with all those salsa patterns incorporated....

for example the bonao style in this video typically from that area...

this small clip Dominicans explains a little about their way of dancing bachata ...i am not related and i dont know the person that made this video but i admire him because he takes time to know the culture and learn the real thing....

there use to be a thread here about bachata named :WHAT BACHATA CAN DO FOR YOU all i can say is only the ones that took time to learn it and use it will know...ill leave it to that.

did not come out rude
but you went a little above and beyond
with all these videos
they are all bachata dances
at the highest level
each can do the other style
but it is not basic bachata
no debate on that or needed
in all the videos they dance
their asses off
I am sure you agree

This is ballroom bachata.  Many of their steps are a step above basic bachata and they are easy to learn.  The twisting and turning that a lot of people do to me is not the true way to dance bachata.  I'll do turns, etc., but that is just to create separation from my chica because I'm sweating too much.  In my humble opinion, if you are not next to your chica practically grinding her (or shining your belt buckle as the Dominicans say) then you are not dancing bachata.

The people in these videos could just as well be dancing salsa as far as they are from each other.  I'm not saying they don't dance well, they are instructors and professionals that teach others how to dance bachata with the basic steps and turns.

bachata this, bachata that. They are all doing the bachata that is why they call it bachata. Beautiful to watch how they all put it down with such grace.

@Samson  No debate here...yes they are all dancing bachata...yes, most of the people in the videos are Dominicans.  It's just that the videos I saw, many are professional dancers.  Most Dominicans are not professional dancers and they dance different.  If you go back to the bachata history lesson that a lot of guys on this thread talked about, this type of "professional" dancing did not occur in those whore houses back in the day.  Two totally different styles.

But in the end, yes they are all dancing bachata to bachata music.
