They say that where I usually stay too, But since I’ve been going to sosua I’ve yet to wipe my ass and put the paper in the trash. Just try not to roll half the roll off like a female and I think the pipes will be cool. That’s just me though.

This is the norm in most parts of the Dominican Republic. The pipes and septic tanks aren't wide enough there to support large pieces of toilet paper. Just throw the paper in the trash next to the toilet when you're done or use baby wipes.

I've stayed at numerous places (granted they were mostly in the Sosua strip area), but I've yet to hear that from any place I've stayed.

That would be reason enough for me to not stay there, though.

Depending on whether you get sick or not (you're a foreigner...it happens), and the level of sickness, im'ma need to use the damn bathroom....and i'll be damned if I stay at a place where i'm not able to flush toilet paper. Lol

I stayed at Garden Condos a few weeks back.
I did not have any issues with toilets nor did I get any type of warning...

I’ve also stayed there numerous times and never saw anything posted regarding flushing toilet paper. I know it’s the norm for Dominican locals to not flush the paper but there’s absolutely no way I’m having a garbage full of shit paper exposed in any room. You should be fine assuming it’s the owner of the unit who doesn’t want to have to deal with any potential issues
