What is Lambee?
« on: January 11, 2018, 08:45:33 PM »
When I was at BlackBeards.  A guy came there selling Lambeee and oysters.  Was pretty good with some hot sauce but what the heck is it?   I don't think it was lamb.

I think you mean Lambi  which is Conch.

You know the big seashells?  Those are Conch shells and the meat that comes out of them is what you eat.

If prepared right it can be pretty good

It is Lambi---pronounced Lam be...My lady prepares it for me in a salad each time I am there, that is the way I like it...They make it in stew called (guisado)...Conch is a medium size sea shell...The conch/lambi meat comes from it...I like it!
