hmm let's see... well with the women you have...chicks with bad breath(personal experience ugh) chicks that are horrible fucks , chicks that accept one offer in the street and charge twice as much in the room(you pay after) , pickpocketing chicks, chicks that may try to rob you in your room while you sleep, begging children, begging older ppl, old dominicans tryna pump you full of cialis, young dominican or haitian guys with a sob story begging for some money , a shirt , or some shoes. Thats all i can think of now. Otherwise it's a party down there. Enjoy but stay smart and aware and don't get too drunk. Read this site and you'll be well equipped.

Better watch out in Rumba, a pack of TV or Ladyboys (have seen as many as 20 +/-) has arrived lately and have been causing alot of mis communication!

They all look quite deceiving.. Be careful of these, but if you like that thing, have at it.

But what the hell do I know!

@balcoach,

Are you saying you saw some trannies in Rumba's or are you just joking.?...  If Rumba's is allowing trannies to work inside the bar, I'm done with Sosua.  I have no problem with them working the street's or tranny/gay bar's but to let them enter a place where we go to meet women is some  BULLSHIT.

Yeah Nick Balcoach is pulling your leg. I just left 3 Feb and Rumbas was cool. Only pissed me off was the increase on the price of drinks.

Just dont be too thirsty my friend. Dont go for the threesome, even if the chicas seem cool, they will rob you. Don't drink the tap water, you can brush your teeth with it, but you will get the bubblegutz from the water. DONT pay more than 3000 pesos for the finest chica you find, no matter what, your budget should be around 1500-2200 per chica, and thats if you dont have a connection with them just be cool and let it play out cause its a buyers market sir. Get cool with a motoconcho, they will take care of you, DONT solicit the chicas in the street. HIDE all of your cash and dont walk around w more than you need for the day at any given time.  Balcoach, you better be playing man.. NO SNAKES IN PARADISE!!!

I'm also looking for horror stories, so I can understand how bad it can get.

If you remember that you are a guest in a foreign country and don't act the fool or act like you are better than they are, believe that every local you meet is lying to you (they are) and you can't trust them, don't get really shitface drunk or try copping drugs, and think as if there is a sign tattooed across your head saying "FRESH MEAT" followed by "MUCHO DINERO" (in other words be smart) you will be fine. One last thing. The girl you just paid to fuck does NOT love you. You are NOT different and neither is she.. Don't feel bad for kicking her ass to the curb. She's use to it.

I saw two trannies in Classico's last fall.  Out of 300 real women, what's the big deal.  I think you'd be surprised how many there are all around you.

The coolest tranny in town was years back, morena chico/chica, went by the name of NAOMI, used to ride around town on a motorcycle with her dude in the "bitch" seat... he was a cool as dude as well...
Anyways, she did her thing in sosua, saw her out on the strip, in the casinos back in those days....Until she got her skull bashed in by a propane tank.  and that was pretty much the end of her story... she was well liked and known... would speak with you, nice person...

Don't fall in love after 1 roll in the sack. Always wear a condom. Don't renogotiate on price once you get to your room.No tips for bad service. Beware of "Leche rapido" after 5 minutes. Don't be afraid to say no, just be respectful. Don't run a tab in the bar...pay and drink..or else you will have a bill and scratch your head befuddled. Protect yourself and your belongings at all times....never leave phone, cash, wallets, cameras out in the open. Always know where your keys are..and hide them. If you sleep hard..hide your keys to the safe , your room and the car. If she shows up uninvited....discontinue all further contact. Don't be fooled by the jealousy game..." you have a lot of girlfriends". When walking through groups of girls , beware of touchy Feely girls..they are in your pockets, literally...don't let unknown strangers hug on you in the streets...they are going for your pockets. She's not feeling on your booty..she's searching for your wallet. Beware of the happy hour...sometimes you can get robbed while they take turns....stealing your shit. She's not that into you after only 3 hours...don't get fooled. Don't leave any women in your your unattended. If you drive, WEAR A SEAT BELT AND HAVE YOUR LICENSE, police will get you for at least 2k and may take your car..and you will pay another feE To get car back. Get off Sosa beach before dark. Stay away from crowds when locals and girls are fighting...go in the other direction as quickly as you can. Don't become a Western union Simp. Don't disrespect the locals. Know if your bank and or credit card charges international fees..that 3% to 5% adds up...and sometimes is double..what the local bank will charge and your bank . ..this includes ATMs. If you rent a car..use airport and don't pay for insurance if your credit card covers you For rental insurance...rip off. Be weary of renting scooters...they will steal the scooter from you....and then charge you...especially those who use cash Only. Just cause she is finest thing you have seen all week ..don't always translate into a great fuck. Don't blow her head up anymore after a less than mediocre performance and overpay just to say you slept with a dime...unless a good fuck don't really matter to you. ;-) . Don't try to organize a threescore with a Dominican  and a Haitian...recipe for disaster Most of time. If she looks too young stay away..if you must check the ID AND MAKE SURE IT IS ACTUALLY HER and not her aunt or sister. Always ask if she has an ID. If she has no ID...stay away. Ride motoconchos at your own risk. We weary of the lettuce, tomatoes And cheese. Take a anti- diarrhea medicine with you just in case. Over pack on condoms. Be careful of mistaking 100 pesos and 1000 pesos..especially  when drinking.  Most folks don't even know they've made that mistake......i.e., you gave her 10k pesos( 10 1k pesos)...instead of 1k (10 - 100 pesos).LASTLY..but most important....ENJOY Yourself. take that ride back to MIA with great memories , no regrets!

I was referring to Sosua beach...it is pitch black and you are easy pickings After dark...there is minimal lighting.  One of very few places I am weary of in Sosua. Just no reason to be down there after the sun goes down ...and everything is closed. I know of guys who have gotten invited back to Sosua beach...at 8pm...?? Really??? Just goes on my ..beware of lists....  but maybe you were just pulling my leg....

Sosua Beach is not at all like Cabarete Beach. Good advice to avoid Sosua Beach after dark. Now Cabarete on the other hand.. Go hang out at Jose O Shay's or one of the other beach bar/restaurants some evening and see for yourself..I like Cabarete, but it's not make eye contact and say "quanto" like Sosua is.
