Round three and need advice!! ??
« on: March 12, 2018, 01:37:51 PM »
Ok gents....I am planning round three and this time I am bringing my boy with me because he has been begging me to bring him along for the next trip.
Here is my dilemma.
I love SOSUA INN HOTEL and think its perfect for solos but I would like to possibly get a villa since there will be two of us this time. I know I could just reserve two rooms at SOSUA INN and I would enjoy that but my buddy is a little bougie-bougie so he wants to have a nice villa that's not right in the middle of ground zero. I told him that travel expense and more travel time would be involved and i'm not driving or renting a car so that's out of the question. I am looking for a villa that's up to par with AHNVEE or SOSUA INN HOTEL acomodations. Nice luxury and chica friendly and WIFI is a necessity. Money is not an issue as long as its worth it and close to the strip or at least a short walking distance to PC ....and chica friendly or course.

Any advice on this from some heros?
I want to show my boy a good time being close to the strip and also have some nice digs but be close to the action without having to rent a car or pay an arm and a leg for taxis.
Am I dreaming??

I’m doing a villa at resedential Hispaniola in April for the first time.  It is right up the hill by the Texaco.  People say it is walkable, but chicks can not walk in.  They need to be in a car.  I am not renting a car, but I anticipate paying a lot on taxis.

The closest villas to ground zero is Hispaniola (Its mandatory for me to pick a villa that has a private bathroom for each bedroom) But its still better to have your own car because you will be doing allot of walking / or taxi driving. And I don't like to have to wait for no one. Depending  how close your villa is to the front gate (it could be a nice walk to the front) everytime a girl leaves (even at 4 or 5 am) you have to walk her to the front and than walk back.  To the club, after party, restaurants, beach, food shopping, chilin, .......  I stay at Casa Linda and just get a 35 dollar a day vehicle. A short 5 minute drive to ever where and I / we and the girls can come and go at our own pleasure, without having to wait for a taxi.

I appreciate the advice but if I stayed there I would have to pay for taxi service. I have vowed not to drive in DR because I don't live there and I see/hear all of the horror stories about tourists getting into accidents where it may or not may not be their fault and getting extorted or worse. DR jail is not somewhere I want to be no matter the case. People drive crazy and all I need is some old lady or loco motoconcho pulling out in front of me and boom.
Vacation/life ruined. I vowed not to do it.  ****Bright note I do have a great taxi guy.

Cool to each his own, I have been coming to DR for years and have also "heard" similar stories but I have never had or know anyone who has experienced any of these  stories.  So if you want a close villa, Hispaniola may be for you. Enjoy !

I have been driving there for 6 years and never had a problem. If you dont drive crazy you shouldnt have any problems of course you have to look out for the moped drivers they do drive crazy.
