The only thing I have against Bourbon Street is that the soundtrack is always the same.

No issue with that except that I find it a bit too downbeat and  makes me want to go to sleep!

It’s actually not their fault. If they don’t play certain type of music because they’re huge open air they will have issues. Don’t ask why just know it’s political.

"Don’t ask why just know it’s political."

Bullshit, its a business. If they are playing the same songs, they are too lazy to buy a couple of new tracks on iTunes, or can't afford to get a decent web music service.

"It's political"... WTF??? gotta find  all those eye rolling and head shaking gifs now.

Actually there is truth to it being political or something. I remember @Bourbon Street addressed the subject on this forum about what music he can play. I can't remember his exact words but his hands are pretty much tied as far as  what music he can play.

It may be a condition of licensing to not have big speakers blasting ono the street, maybe they got their license by saying they are a jazz club and will play oh... "Bourbon Street" style of music. Maybe they told the neighbours we won't play Dembow if you don't play Jazz.

But come on... The point is the soundtrack does not change. Go buy some new cd's.

Its not like going into Cool Runnings in MoBay and asking them to change the movie on the TV.

Running a business as a foreigner is not as simple as you think, changing the soundtrack can very well get them shutdown I understand you don’t get who things go and want different music 🎶 but trust if they could they would.

Being a foreigner you have to pay the police off to stay in business and plus it's not a lucrative move...

Ok, I get that, guess would be a licensing consession was made so that they could be open, not behind the crazy glass walls, so long as they did not play any music that would cause those young people to do that dirty dancing.

But please... at Merengue, can they not buy a couple of new 8 tracks?

I appreciate the loookout on the reserved seating for the games this weekend. I will say you do go all out to ensure the patrons of your establishment are taken care of. I will also come thru as long as you have an establishment. Home team representing for the home team.
