@VP  I hope the SB Party went well!!!

And interestingly enough, I am looking at buying 4,000 square meters of land at $22USD/meter.  The land is in Bavaro/Punta Cana area and currently being sold at $70 USD per square meter.  The land is foreclosed and owned by a bank.  I've got access to a couple of great DR attorneys, so I'll have them check the paperwork and then look at getting a loan from a bank.

I'll then sell for $70/meter and give about $5/meter to the real estate agent.  He will then look for more foreclosed land deals and we will start the process all over again.  He also has mansions, apartments, and houses for sale, but I'm not interested in that.  I want to purchase low and sell high...and be able to turn it as quick as possible.

What are your thoughts?  Have you seen these types of deals go bad?  Supposedly this is bank owned, so I don't think it can go bad but anything is possible...

This is a common story all over. People fall in love and move to the country and run out of money. Then they scam any way they can to stay.

Anyone who has spent any time in the country knows how difficult it is to run or be part of business and not be there. Everyone will try to rob you even other investors. Real estate scams are normal and even people being killed to take their money and properties.
people run out of money there and tr to scam to stay wow never heard that. How come when they about to run out of money they just dontncome back tot he states make money then come back there
