In general expats are talking about a group of females that aren’t really available to tourists. Those girls for the most part don’t work the streets. When they need money they’ll visit one of the local expats on the down low. These girls of course have friends. Under the current circumstances I’m sure those friends are doing a little expat side work also. Understand that all expats ain’t got it like this.

When expats talk about bargains these are the type of chicas they’re talking about. If an expat wants to fuck a strip girl who’s in demand he’s paying the same price as a tourist. At best he’s getting a small discount because he’s on site and available in a pinch or he’s developed a friendship with a particular female.
This is a fair assessment.  I see the effort.  However I will add to what should be understood.  Expats arent in the position to get discounts simply because of availability.   There are other important variables as well.   The mere fact that many expats are not acting like they are thirsty,  like their tourist counter parts.   Expats arent necessarily getting discounts just because their expats.   It's more common for expats to refuse to pay these chicas ridiculous prices,  and more common for tourists to not give a shit.  Also language skills.

Many expats have grasped and communicate daily with locals.   So there is something to say for how locals will treat you, if you cannot communicate at all in their language.  Thats not to say, expats are exempt from BS in dealing with locals.  But knowing and using the language helps alot.   Plus other habits expats may not have.  Not giving money away like tourists may do.  Not having hustlers following them around.  These types of habits/behaviors end up costing a tourist or any individual who does it, much more.    Based on how one is perceived and carries themselves.

Another misconception of enough expats is how dudes in the states assume expats are on a budget because they supposedly dont have much money,  or only living off of a pension.   Or they choose to live in a modest part of the country/city.   And think that is why they arent going after and paying for the "dimes" that other guys are losing their minds over.    I know more than enough expats that are very well off financially.  ( myself included ).    That have investments, property, sufficient savings,  no debt, but are extremely conscientious when it comes to how and who they spend their money with/on.

Consistently travel abroad, and even live in other countries besides the DR.  But a lot of guys may not be aware of that because all they know is they see a guy living in the DR someplace and think he's just getting by.   Some expats are better off financially doing nothing than enough guys working back where they come from.    It's not always about what you can show outwardly to demonstrate ones spending/financial prowess.   It's more admirable IMO,  showing the ability to be masterful in managing your money,  when it comes to handling your life, and even when indulging in ones vices ( women being one of them ).

One of the things i like about living abroad, is that you dont have to keep up with the Jones.  No need for jewelry, fancy cars, clothes or living quarters.   Or living up to the Matrix's expectations.

I have now read countless stories from mongers saying chicas hitting you up for 125.00 and up. Yet certain mongers and expat mongers who live there were saying it is a buyers market. You/they were getting and can get pussy for a pack of chewing gum based on need and desperation from the lack of tourist. Who the hell is lying and who the hell is telling the truth!

I don’t think anyone is lying. Chicas will always quote the most to see who is foolish enough to pay it, and 3 out of 5 times, they’ll always find a simp who will.

Those who know better won’t be taken advantage of. It is indeed a buyer’s market, but not for fools.

There is only one reason why a Chica will “always quote the most” is because you asked them what they want.

Come on people it’s Sosúa 101. Always... ALWAYS say what you want to pay first. It’s the cry of the weekend warriors. “Yo how much” the answer will always be $100, $125, $6000...

Spend a few minutes, get that PB vibe going then... “You are really sexy, I have $2000 pesos for you.” She smiles and says “no way, I need $3000.” You say “ok,” she wins.

You say “yo how much?” She says $4000 and you say “no way, I will give you $3000“, she says “ok,” she loses... and guess what, so will you.

I found the expats in Sosua to be crusty old fucks. No shade @ Murano.  I haven’t met you so I’m not saying that’s you.  But the ones I met I didn’t want anything to do with.
No shade assumed.   I understand what you may have observed.  Many of the guys that may fit that description just happen to be older white guys.   Guys that have been here longer than most of us black guys.    Black expats in Sosua are in the minority in terms of representation.    And have less history as expats in Sosua than many of the older white expats.   If you pay attention to how enough black expats dress,  many of them still look like tourists on vacation.   Which sometimes I get mistaken for by newbie chicas in the game.

I will say this,  I have a very small circle of white expat associates in Sosua,  and maybe a couple I'd consider a friend.   The rest of them, I'm probably invisible to.   And thats cool.    When it comes to black expats in Sosua,  most of them know me or know of me by now.  I watched them since they started living here.

For the most part, they are friendly and will speak 1st, they dont wait to speak.   I like that.  And thats why it is easier for me to relate to them and make fellowships.    I accept that some people are not on that level and feel more comfortable sticking with their own social circles.   Who knows?   If I knew what they were saying or thinking,  I probably wouldnt join their circle to begin with.     Everyone seeks their own level of comfort here.

Hmm...that's way different than I expected.  I envisioned knee-level polyester shorts, floral print shirt, just below the knee dress socks, with sandal shoes, topped off with a Kangol hat.  Oh yeah, and some jewelry.

I do the exact opposite. I always ask. I will caution though that you need some spanish, a little bit of charm, and a little bit of humor to be successful with this approach.

You gotta understand the expat market when you are now living down there fulltime. It is very different than guys flying in once or twice a year from the states. A retired expat in his 50s or 60s has got a stable full of chicas who are always calling looking for chump change. I'm talking as little as $30 or $40. They know old dude is always good for pocket change. He may even let them run a tab -- say $100 or $150. To keep that local tab running the chicas know they have to eventually come through a few times and work it off. I'm just telling you like it is. This is the way the game is played in the ex-pat community. You won't get that treatment flying in once or twice from the states.

I didnt say anything about how tourists dress.  I said if you pay attention to how "enough black expats dress",  many of them still look like tourists on vacation.   How does that translate to how ALL tourists dress as a generalization of tourists?   Is my emphasis on how tourists dress or on how enough expats dress, including how they carry themselves?   That is a piece I failed to include in my description.

Case in point.   Many expats who have been around awhile,  stop going to the clubs,  dont hang out in the bars.   But initially many I have seen when they 1st retire,  they act like a tourist still on vacation.    So I probably should have added that part for a more complete picture.   Are you aware that some expats stop or severely limit themselves from going to clubs/bars, may no longer hang out late like they used to,  than when they were coming for vacation?     But may come out when their friends come to town.   Well these are things I am aware of for "some or enough expats" here in Sosua.   Do you doubt this or corroborate this?   If Im mistaken you have spent time abroad, so you should know how some expats behave?

I forgot to add,  I may get mistaken as a tourist by how I dress, but also because I am usually hanging with my vacationing buddies.  Plus Im new to some of these newbie chicas.   They cant tell and dont care who they approach.   The vet chicas know who I am,  and for the most part pay me no mind.

Actually, I was talking about black tourists.  Sometimes, my fingers don't move as fast as my brain, and forgot "black."  That why I paid enough attention to highlight a portion of your comment in red.

Forget that I asked. It was a minor request, that Captain Smith had enough sense to understand and answered my question.

I dont know any expats claiming you can get laid for the price of chewing gum.   That could have been something meant in jest,  not literally.  Besides how many expats opinions are you relying on?      To listen to only a select few expats ( if they even exist? )  that fit a certain narrative,  and run off to start a thread about what some expats supposedly meant or said is comical in of itself.
I always have to laugh at this @murano guy lol. He likes to come behind me to disprove and write narratives to prove his point. We are going to meet at Flip Flop in October, fact, no cyber.

Anyway, I do not make a thread based off of a pop in my head. Now I have met several funny looking expats (black) that would say to me "bro you cannot get that Like I can cause you don't live here, you would have to pay double" Now what a minute, the chica he is pointing out is an 8.5, but he is a 4.5 believe me! When they say this I pay for their beer, look at them side ways and bounce. Yet when I tell them to call the chica over they will not or she ignores.

Also there were several expats saying the chicas are desperate giving it away for nothing. Many expats lie that is fact based experience. Now on the flip side, I have had several men text me saying these chicas are quoting high!. So my man you can defend all you like, but there are different stories.

Bottom line chicas have been quoting high regardless if you pay that price or not. One day an expat will show up with an 8 or above. I don't consider rats even pussy. Also @Ghost just said all that he has met live in little places to be respectful yet another say most expats are well off. Taylor I see he has a nice place and shows it off and Red!!!!
