I brushed my teeth with tap water while there also. No issues...

Different people have different stomachs. I guy only used to NYC tap water may have a different experience from a guy who lives in a place like Michigan, where they just had a water crisis.

If your referring to Flint Michigan that was a series of stupid decisions in one particular area of the state.
It it no way represents what the quality of the water is like in the rest of the state.

They are currently having a new water crisis in Kalamazoo, (Parchment) Michigan.

Right they had some PFA's register at a high level in their water for a short time but it has since been cleared up and is back to normal now with not even an advisory anymore.

That particular deal affected about 3,000 people.  The media has a way of blowing things way out of proportion.

Yes Flint had a pretty big problem that resulted from years of miss-management but there are places in the US that are currently worse than Flint like Houston and Las Vegas.

The water in Michigan in most places is just fine.  So much so that Nestle the makers of Ice Mountain bottles their water from sources in Michigan

No you can’t,,,

If you go to many all-inclusive resorts around the island ,,,they provide a huge bottle of water or two daily,,,that’s not for you to drink lol,,,,,,

I never use tap water to brush my teeth, even when I am in the barrio, I tell the chicas yelling from the bathroom  “dame agua”  and they know what time it is

Even now, they used to me, they prepare fresh water for me to brush, I even got them to do the same too and now they don’t do it without bottled water 🤣. I am influencing the culture my guys 😎
Guess I've been lucky as fuck cause I've been coming to DR for 8 years and never thought to use bottled water to brush my teeth!!  Won't chance it any more!!

I use tap water to brush my teeth without a problem.  Keep in mind though that I've been doing this for 14 years, so my immune system is ready for what's in the water.  I recommend bottled water though.

Be careful what fruits and vegetables you eat!!!

All Dominicans...even high end restaurants, use tap water mixed with chlorine to clean your fruits and vegetables.  Rinse what the vegetables and fruits with your bottled water because otherwise you are simply putting tap water with chlorine into your body.

This is what F's up most of the people visiting.
Very true a chica took me to her house for a day and i saw that shit in person. I went right to the store and got her a 5 gallon jug

It's hard to remember not to use sink water after you've been drinking or when you first wake up in the AM...  I always fasten a bag to the faucet to help me remember - sounds stupid, but it's the only thing that works for me

That's, not 100% accurate. 3 weeks ago on the other side of the state, the Public school and township office closed due to high PFS multiple cases are currently ongoing.
