I'm a DR veteran........BUT, have never been for NYE.  Now that Covid is here, does anyone have any suggestions for SOSUA for NYE?

Daughter's inlaws from Idaho visited them in Wyoming about 10 days ago. Upon return to Idaho tested positive. The virus is now working it's way thru my family. Three of them have tested positive. Young and healthy, if you have risk factors it can kill you. Country folks thought they were safe. Nope, colder weather driving them indoors. Thanksgiving canceled.

My advice is postpone holidays until March or April when 70% have been vaccinated.

It's just a matter of time until Sosua becomes a hotspot. Hope I'm wrong.

More than half the population will not even take the vaccine, including me, but I agree with your synopsis of staying home

Even, in the best of times Sosua wasn't a good place to go during NYE.  The town was usually dead.  The out of town chicas would go home and the locals went to parties.  There would be a smattering of scrubs in town but that's it.  The big party was on the beach in Cabarate.  If you had a favorite you like spending time with then you would lock her in and get a spot in Cabarete and party with her there.  Not sure if it is possible with social distancing because it attracts a large crowd.  This year, no idea how it will pan out.  Going right before the holidays is great time but during the holidays it is slim pickings.

Saw on 60 minutes a few weeks ago, the General in charge of distribution says his biggest fear is folks won’t take it.

I am not front line, so won’t be the first, but hoping to get it by march as I won’t be traveling until I get the shot.

Been to Sosua for New Years when times were good and it was a total bore

This year with Covid it's not worth even thinking about going for New Years especially if there is still a curfew.

2020 was some terrible shit, so ringing in the NewYear is a must this time for me. No way I’m trying to go out that nite in this cluster-fuck we call the USA, tho. I Just hit up Blackbeard’s and they have some openings, they also have some New Years festivities so I’m considering it.  Shit I know things will b somewhat slow, but it would  b wonderful to b in paradise  having some good adult fun, lol.

While you guys "let the human body fight off the infection" I will be the first dude in line to get my vaccination. Week in a hospital is NOT on my Things To Do List. Lol
