These Russian travelers have plenty of money and won't be venturing anywhere near Sosua or places where mongers normally travel to.

It's a good thing since anyone that has come into contact with the Russian traveler can probably attest to the fact that the Russian travelers are typically quite miserable to be around

Jomtien beach is virtually next to Pattaya, so Russian business men and investors aren’t afraid or unwilling to be near sex tourist. I could see the Russian version of Jomtien in the north coast but it’d have to be opposite of Cabarete and before POP. I’m not sure if Montelleno has beaches, but with Las Terrenas, Galeras, Samana, and Cabarete, I could see Russian progress developing in the north coast. I don’t think China and Russia care to take over an over saturated sosua due to the prices that would be incurred between buying land, spaces and development

No way in hell are they going to travel 5 hours minimum one way to Sosua for pussy.   Sosua does not have enough to offer them.  They will stay on the South coast or possibly Boca but they are not coming to Sosua at this time

Not sure what your reference to beaches in Montelleno is.  Assuming you miss spoke since other than a place many Haitians live just past POP airport.   But no real beach there other than playa cangrejo but that is not a tourist beach.

I’m saying I could see Russian business people taking an interest in the north coast, but as a business venture. Kind of how they did in Thailand. Have a spot developed for the Russians and Europeans but have a business nearby that brings in money off the sex tourist. They’d need to be in proximity of Sosua but likely not in Sosua itself due to size and likely Russian people wanting their own space away from the Sosua crowd.

Having cheap women from Latvia and Albania passed off as Russian would likely have some brothers over spending. I mean Thai girls are 1-3k bhat off walk-in street and Russian girls are what 6-12k bhat? It’s lucrative and only 4-7 girls are needed if going but the Mulan Rouge club lineup outside of walking street. I don’t think the Dominican Republic is worried too much about human trafficking if the paper work looks right and they see money. Like what’s the incentive to do more investigating? Though this probably could be done in Boca or PC, more efficiently. It’s the only reason I could see some coming north, it’s unlikely but possible because it’s a market for it.

Yes the Russians came into Thailand and invested heavily and brought alot of tourists

It began in Phuket and moved to Pattaya but then the Russian economy tanked and they pretty much quite coming and replaced by the Chinese.

Russian owned property in Jomtien can be had very cheaply these days and much of what they built now sits empty

Again it's all a non story as there not going to be any Russians of significance in Sosua any time soon.    The tourists in that article are not mongers
