Florida guys

Hey all, im from NY and usually fly JFk to POP via Jetblue, im looking to go to Sosua next month but have a business meeting in Key West around the same time so im trying to fly JFk to POP then returning  go straight to Miami but im having a hard finding direct flights, am i doing something wrong or do i have to leave from Santiago, what do you guys recommend, Thanks

American Air lines cut back to weekly Service in August  wont be back to daily  flightS mabey October.
