As expected. Halloween is not a thing in Sosua. It’s not some big event that people are going to gather or travel into town for.

It’s a decent crowd of guys here. Nothing like the Super Bowl. The problem is that there was not a large influx of girls. At least from what I’ve seen nothing has transpired that would make this a must attend event.

I'm old enough to remember when Halloween was for children and Halloween parties occurred in elementary school complete with cupcakes and the exchange of heart shaped candies.

That wasn't weird 'cuz we were kids anticipating going trick/treating that night or soon thereafter.

Now Halloween parties are weird because grown men are flying to POP/STI, booking room reservations to meet up with complete and total strangers for half-day cruises and ATV excursions. Why pay another man to attend an event that hosts excursions, alcohol and loud music which anyone can do anytime you visit? And in between these events you're scanning for potential hoes for whom all the other dudes in your party group have also scanned. The very same Sosua hoes that were there a week earlier but now want to charge you $200 USD 'cuz you and ya' crew decided to make this into a special occasion.

Halloween is still not a "thing" in the DR both practically or culturally. Things make more sense and more fun(to me at least) when the culture of the country you visit hosts their own national/cultural celebration versus you bringing your unknown/unrecognized cultural holiday to their block. Otherwise, it's you and 200 other guys standing around on the beach holding Presidente's with pirate face paint on.

Please don't misunderstand, I'm not knocking it. I'm down for any man that wants to spend his money doing whatever makes him happy especially when it comes to the DR. That said, how some of you choose to move is.....different.

I think Halloween in Sousa is just fine. Is it a big event that draws mongers from around the world? Of course not. On Halloween night some of the chicas dress up in costumes. And that's about it. When I go to Halloween in the DR I book a room at Blackbeards because they create a festive atmosphere with all the girls decked out in Halloween garb. It's not much more than that, yet Halloween at BB is always sold out. Simple as that. Meanwhile, back in Sosua, some of the clubs and bars have Halloween parties and the chicas dress for it. Again, it is not that big a deal, but better than the usual Tuesday in the DR.

The marketing of the Dominican ministry of tourism is on  point they let youtubers tell them at they absolutely needed to go to Sosua on a foriegn made up "holiday"  and one of them convinced several dudes to way overpay to attend an even with hoes in a town filled with hoes.

I mean are the hoes at the party gonna disappear into the ether or would you see those same hoes for free posted up in the Casino or Rumbas before and after the party.

It'd make more sense just to say Meet your favorite youtuber The same one you could see for free everyday at his bar.

Also not hating just saluting an excellent marketing and promo campaign.
