On a separate note, I don’t know why dudes are so hung up on having a chica cook for them. 🤷🏽‍♂️

I agree..i suppose they can brag to their friends back home that they spent time with a submissive woman 😅😅 but to each their own.

1st dude brag about never paying more than the going rate.  2nd dude brag about paying less than the going rate.  3rd dude brag about getting it for free. 4th dude brag about getting it for free and the girl cooking for him.  Soon having a girl cooking for you becomes a flex.
on point about the one upping.
Cheaper ways to do things, doesn’t indicate quality, or lack of

JAJAJA ,I cook better local dishes than most of the chicas I know, been watching chef ZEE videos for years. If a chica wants to cook at my place every ingredient and spice is there to make it taste like it should.Met only a few that could cook better than me, maybe because they stepped up after I cooked for them!

When i was there last year i did it. I was vibing at the bar in Rumbas and this dark skin Dominican chick was sitting next to me, nobody was talking to her. She was gorgeous but she felt she was too dark to get chosen. After tellin me about herself i was intrigued. She spoke 4 or 5 languages and was in college. She was a great vibe; she wven bought ne a drink! So i wanted a gfe from her. Me and my boy took her and another chick to the grocery store and told them get everything we need for a meal that they would like to prep. Went to the villa and she made a perfect rice, beans and chicken. We all ate and watched the Lakers in the playoffs. It was a good vibe, this chick was smart asf and fluent in English. I didn’t even smash her, i just wanted her vibe and to oay her so she could boost her confidence!

I know mofos who won't eat other people's homecooking.

Now this all makes sense.

Ever went over a friend's house to eat and the food just ain't no good?
I mean the macaroni's soggy, the peas are mushed, and the chicken tastes like wood
So you try to play it off like you think you can, by sayin' that you're full
And then your friend says, "Momma, he just being polite, he ain't finished, uh-uh, that's bull!"
And so your heart starts pumpin', and you think of a lie, and you say that you already ate
And your friend says, "Man, there's plenty of food!" so you pile some more on your plate
And while the stinky foods steamin' your mind starts to dreamin' of the moment that it's time to leave
And then you look at your plate and your chicken's slowly rottin' into something that looks like cheese

Oh, so you say, "That's it, I got to leave this place! I don't care what these people think
I'm just sittin' here makin' myself nauseous with this ugly food that stinks!"
And so you bust out the door while it's still closed, still sick from the food you ate
And then you run to the store for quick relief from a bottle of Kaopectate
And then you call your friend two weeks later to see how he has been
And he says, "I understand about the food, baby bubbah, but we're still friends"

Hahaha!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣      Viva, I haven't heard that in forever.
If you can't change the outcome of a situation then don't worry about it.

I prefer not to let any Dominican cook for me, not even my now ex wife.
I basically don't like most Dominican food.
The pescado frito at Maimon or Boca Chica beach I do like.
For some reason the Dominican Republic is one of the few Caribbean islands where they do not like spicy food.
All their food just tastes bland to me....
I had to take my ex to Thailand to get her to appreciate spicy food.

You should stop going to DR altogether. That way, you can completely avoid the food. 😐

I agree with him. Dominican food the way it is prepared here in Sosua, and I would think Sosua is typical, just doesn’t do it for me. Coming from Los Angeles I’m accustomed to multi ethnic dishes with a variety of distinct flavors. I’ve resorted to cooking the tastes and textures I want using recipes I find on the internet. In the last 90 days I’ve probably eaten 3-4 Dominican meals outside of the occasional piece of fried chicken.

Go to instagram and try patisserie_Keisha. Check her out. You can hire her as your personal chef. She may
change your mind about the food. You never know. I'm just saying.

I don't feel I have found a really good place that serves great Dominican food. To be honest when I am out in Sosua it is to eat, not to dine, so i fall into the trap of just ordering what i know they wont f--k up. Most of the spots in Sosua are bone average.
