A few things about Santo Domingo:

-- There are plenty of hot nightclubs in Santo Domingo, but there is no walkable "strip" for openly soliciting chicas like Sosua.
-- The top clubs in Santo Domingo are similar to hot spots in South Beach -- singles out having a good time and babes looking for sugar daddies. They aren't set up to cater to the American monger looking for quick pay-for-play for 2000 pesos.
-- Spanish language skills are very important in Santo Domingo. You may not hear anyone speaking English in the nightclubs.
-- Brothels are a sure thing and you can leave with the girl and take her to your hotel.

Overall, Santo Domingo is a great experience from a cultural standpoint, but it is definitely not point-and-click for mongering like Sosua.

Have fun!

Also, you really need good Spanish in Santo Domingo. As you move around the city you may go hours without hearing anyone speak English.

Avenue Venezuela is the closest thing  with most of the Clubs back together. I wouldn’t go walking down any side streets by yourself but you’ll be fine walking  The strip and I guarantee you you will bump into walked past and definitely see many “dimes“ that if you have a working grasp of the of simple game nothing crazy then you could definitely pull out some p4p from a dime...

Also the Malecon is a Goldmine always for psy 4 play action You just have to have your monger glasses on because there is a whole heap of normal regular girls who just happened to look sexy as f--k but definitely are not horse. Chappies maybe but  you come at her like she is a Prostitute Then you will be dead in the water. No action from her

I'm not trying to pull civilians. Gentleman's clubs and brothels. Which ones are worthwhile and hotels close by? Are there any Haitian spots in zona colonial?

Santo Domingo is under rated on the board, only because of the misinformation.  I am not trying to start of beef with anyone.  If I can read your post,  you are right with me.  There are several hotels in the colonial zone. They are all low budget to just regular.  I’ve never stayed at one but I have driven and walked thru the colonial zone many times.  The shoppnig there is excellent, you can get great deals on jewelry, silver, trinkets and the blue stone that mined exclusively in the DR, the Larimar blue stone.  You won’t find working girls in the colonial zone, but two miles or so to the east is the malecón.  There you will find your point and click Sosua type chics and a host of brothels.  There is a Isla gas station that connects both George Washington and Avenida Indepencia there are sometimes as many as twenty chicas hanging around that gas station all working.  However you do need your smarts about you and a little Spanish does help, also get close enough to see them before you choose.  There are several Chica friendly hotels in the area albeit a bit of a hike from this corner.  Mystic,  Raizor and few more right in thier are are low budget Sosua type hotels.  My favorite is not low budget at all but I have stayed at both Mystic and Raizor, Jaragua.  Marriott rewards members can get in for 104 on most weekends.  Mystic has two brothels in the same block as the hotel, you need no Spanish to stay at either of this two hotels to enjoy Santo Domingo.  As a matter of fact I usually hang out in front of Mystic with other Americans shooting the shit when I stay at Jaragua. None of those brothers speak Spanish.

Everything you said was spot....even learned a lill something I may put to use in the future. One thing I disagree on....there is PLENTY OF ACTION in the colonial zone......especially at night. You can't walk thru that Zona Colonial Mall without at least 5 girls hitting on you and another 5 staring. Some nice down to earth semi-pros who dont rush you and after the deed is done they go home don't look for another date. Plus it's pros all around......2 hotels you can just stand out front of and they step to you QUICKFAST!

I still say the problem with Santo Domingo is you have people who only talk about the colonial zone because that is all they know. The metropolitan population of Santo Domingo is 3,000,000 and a huge area. Avenue Espana by Santo Domingo Este is popping.  Agora mall area around Quorum nightclub and rumbas.  Heading to Santiago that area straight up goldmine of talent, but need to move right. Yet, all you hear about is mostly talk about the colonial zone. A small dark and desolate area at night with not a lot popping, but a couple of brothels and low end street walkers. I just do not understand why fly all that way and hang there.  You pay more on brothel costs then sosua, the street walkers are bottom of the barrel and you not meeting the true talent of Santo Domingo in that area.  People keep trying to fit a square peg in a round hole.  I agree brothers at mystic do not speak Spanish, but they have no where to go or choose to not step up there game, but stay in that area.  So, much more to Santo Domingo than that area. No transportation or movement and all you do is stay in that area which is not popping.  You drive and pick up a street walkers in that area and your seen doing it you will get stopped and expect to pay a bribe because they know your fishing at the bottom of the barrel. You do well in Santo Domingo when you step your game to the next level not acting like you still on pedro with no skills.

A few facts about Santo Domingo....I had an apartment there for 5 years.

1.  It is not point and click like Sosua.  The closest thing like other vets have shared are the "casas" and Zona Colonial.
2.  I would also recommend Oasis as a casa to go visit.
3.  Go to SD to see the culture, nightclubs, and restaurants.  It is a major city with 4.4 million people so there is a lot to do.
4.  I would NOT go to SD to have a Sosua experience...that can only be had in Sosua and if your lucky in Boca Chica.
5.  Spanish and dancing as I and many others have stated will give you a lot of props in the big city.
6.  Watch your back...there are more thieves in SD than the entire population of Sosua.
7.  Only go to the barrios with friends from the barrios (read #6 again)
8.  If you have a Sosua regular from SD, then I recommend that she show you around town.  You will have a better time and get to know the city better.

@bachatero you make a great point.  People come to Santo Domingo thinking it is sosua.  Then they stuck doing sosua things at a higher costs.  Them chicks in those brothels in SD not all that and you have a higher price point.   Rumba has some joints, but they have to like you to go with you and your competing with DR dudes with money and who Speak Spanish and can dance. People always say they do fine, but you see the joints they pick up there and they are not up to par.  Better to go to sosua if you do not know how to really move around that city and speak Spanish.  Not saying you cannot go, but can you pull in the real hot nightclubs in SD or the lounges throughout the various barrios.  That is SD in a nut shell.  Then again if you happy sitting out in front of mystic hotel at night for your vacation and going to a brothel and a casino you will be fine. Just depends what you want out of SD, but it is a big city with potential if you know how to move around and speak Spanish.

For anybody who has not been yet let me explain in kind of simple terms. Anyone who is lived in the big city will understand Santo Domingo in a heartbeat. The difference is most people because of the lack of Spanish are very intimidated. This is the reason why so many folks stay away and there’s so much misinformation of Santo Domingo because I just don’t want to learn Spanish. No I completely understand if the difficulty level is there but as someone stated if you have a favorite girl who lives in Santo Domingo you probably should use her as your “crutch”. I always tell people that the Sue world is like your tricycle and  Puerto Plata is your bicycle with training wheels,  Santiago is like your dad still holding on to the bicycle when you just took off the training wheels. And Santo Domingo is the full ride where you need to be able to do a few tricks.

The way dance has described operating is the way I would recommend. The way but Cheryl has given you a  spot on blueprint for a monger life. But if I can without having to have people lose their minds why would you go to the big city which has everything you want and do it Sosúa style? You’d be missing out on everything that it actually has the offer.  You see Santo Domingo is where you should actually be doing your “bawling“ unfortunately you’re going to have to be a real Baller because you’ll be chewed up and spit  in less than a few days, So from my observation since most of the guys are thinking truly having any money or faking truly having any game then Santo Domingo is definitely not someplace they want to go or when they go they have a hair terrible time because it’s going to expose you immediately as truly who you are. And most guys well let’s just say for the lack of trying to start a flame war quote or not ready” and definitely are not truly about that “Baller life”

If anybody watches Chris Dogan and what you’ll notice about the boy Is he does keep it 100% real and I respect him for that. I don’t care how much money you make so whatever he lives within his means. Which is why he lives in Villa Mella  which actually is a very rich gold mine unfortunately that’s the one place you don’t want to go if you don’t speak Spanish because it’s just way too many traps and where you can get hemmed Up and mugged buy your own neighbor..

Also I’m going to assume he lives there because it’s so much cheaper. But again there is a certain vibe that the city has. If one is looking for a beautiful white Dominicans this is where you’re going to find them. But if you think also I’m going to assume he lives there because it’s so much cheaper. But again there is a certain vibe that the city has. If one is looking for a beautiful white Dominicans this is where you’re going to find them. But if you think beautiful white girls a stuck up Jesus Christ wait to you meet a beautiful white Dominican. She may not even notice your existence. So I understand why so many don’t come to the city but I also know that he has to do with the fact that their game isn’t strong enough and they have no Spanish. But instead of people being honest and asking for eight real OG to pull their code they want to pate  beautiful white girls are stuck up Jesus Christ wait to you meet a beautiful white Dominican.  There’s so many little clubs there’s so many little spots that you can just pull up on and have girls night street hookers I guess you would call them semi pro‘s or non-pro will give you the time of day in a heartbeat if you can just say something past “3000 mil pesos por toda de la noche”

This is the city were if you want you can find yourself to dirtiest nastiest Horrr or the best wife you’ve  you’d ever have in your life ,  just remember it’s also where you can find the most heartless cold calculating manipulative sexy woman that will literally suck the soul out of you and make you believe she’s in love then leave you high and dry. You and all your game.

Hip hop is dead on point here, most of what he discribes I actually lived.  I first came to Santo Doming in 2004.  I was naive, unaware and totallly consumed by the freedoms that were obvious and I did see it’s seedy side.  Would I do it the same way again you bet I would it was an experience that I’ll cherish for a life time.  I started at Hamaca in boca chica,  but that 35 dollar cab ride one way into the city had me renting car on my second trip.  By 2006 I had a house in the bario, los Frailes and an apartment downtown.  When I got to SD I spoke no Spanish but I would do it the same way again as I ve mentioned.  I ve made at least a trip to the DR every other month since.  Initially I thought Santiago was more mafia style.  My first trip there some idiot tried to snatch my gold chain.  My X said I was lucky that never happened  in SD they are worst there.  I have a bunch of thuggish type shit happen in SD but never in the bario were I lived.  100% downtown SD  a bunch of great times and a few bad experiences just like any other big city.  If you are going to deal on the street with those 2mil peso hoes then have your wits and don’t worry about lack of Spanish.

Ok guys I just left SD five days on the Maleacon, Jaragua hotel and another DC guy I meant who stayed at Raizor.  We had a hell of a time,  I did three regulars first day, as I was picked up at the airport by  two spinners, who worked for Elvis before his fall.  Then called an old flame who tucked me in for the night and started the morning with a bang.  Later early afternoon hit the casino and picked up a chacolate drop hatiana that I that was sharp just not my taste walked her over to Raizor and my boy turned her down also.  I gave he 300 pesos for her wasted time and called Amber who had a friend and me a and homeboy spent the everyning kareoke at the bar casino in Jaragua.  Both those chics were fine.  The day we walked down to the colonial zone which to my surprise wasn’t that long of a walk. Zona Colonial has picked up, I expect within he year you will be seeing some pros there.  You already have at least two message locations with chics buggin right out in public.  It does look like Georgetown in DC with just as many people walking and shooting the shit.  I came back alone the next day just to hang out.  We also hit both of those brothels close to mystics I have their names now, the doll House and LA 21 both have some fine chicas one with chics just a little older I took a Venezuelan out of LA 21 on my last day 100 bucks.  Overall a fairly good trip.

Yeah I’d get a side bet with you  Bach but I want you on that golf course again.  I had a great time in SD I do need to learn to stay out of the mini bar and keep those chics out of it as well.  55 bucks mini bar fee.   I paid 86 dollars a day for the first two days 117 for the next two.  Jaragua claims to be cheap, however they are charging 5 bucks for can of presidente.  These are prices for everyone I didn’t even use my senior discount.  Just remember they are trying to get them bucks back anyway they can.  The next time I stay there I am going to make them clear the mini bar.  Good inexpensive restaurants within walking distance, Manolo, and Villa HMos eat there 1/3 the price.  I especially recommend Villa HMos it’s a good clean airconditioned place, very popular amonst the Dominicans.

@StarLord  No, JetSet is lit Monday nights if there is a good concert.  It's a nice club, but I only go Monday nights.  If you get there Wednesday, then I would hit 75 Grados.  Are you there over the weekend?  If so I would go to Club Hangar on Av. Independencia for a good locals clubs with live music.  And of course Av. Venezuela is always a must place to see if you haven't been there before.  None of these clubs are point and click like Sosua, they are regular clubs.

@StarLord  During the week you need to know what clubs to hit because they aren't always busy.  If Aqua doesn't work out, then I recommend hitting the large Car Washes.  Andy's in Santo Domingo Este is a decent one and the Mixer is right next to it.  I'm not sure how the Mixer is during the week though.

D'Chino is another good car wash on Av. Independencia and Calle Las Gaviotas.

Let Torso and I know when your ready to hit the clubs one day!

I meant to give mr Navigator props on zona colonial,  although I didn’t see pros there the joint is loaded with chics of all kinds.  It’s about eight blocks of bourbon street in New Orleans, Starlord if you don’t walk the strip you have missed out on what’s happening in SD.  It’s a really slick daytime move and I was proposition at least twice by message chics.  I had been there before years ago shopping for jewelry.  It’s difinetly changed for the better and it appears to be getting better still.  I really like SD it’s got way more to offer than Sosua right now, but I’ll still do both.  Also find Casa Rosario it’s the only high class joint left from the old days and hit a piece right in the joint for me you won’t regret and if you go you won’t be able to resist it.  It is one block pass maxim Gomez on 27 de Feberro a right on Ortega Gassette go nine blocks it’s the on the right hand side of the street.  Those doorman dressed in suits will let you in enjoy.

Damn...if Torso is going, then you'll have one of the best guys on this site showing you around.  He knows the barrios and has friends all over the city.  Your in good company and will have a great time.

Once you get some dance lessons from Torso and a few chicas, we'll all have to get together and show the Dominicans that non-Dominicans can dance too.  You, Torso, Dance, and I will kill it in the barrios.

@Dance  I agree.  I'd love to head out and hang with everyone.  I'll be in Bavaro 9/16 to 9/19.  Doubt if you'll be in the area.  I can make a business trip to the DR in November or December and be able to sneak out for a few nights with everyone.  If I go without the wifey, the DR family will be on a spy mission! lol

I haven't stayed there. There is security on duty. As an airbnb in Santo Domingo, it should be chica friendly...but I would ask the manager to be sure.
