The real issue is millennial Dominican‘s and GenZ aren’t like boomers. As much as many don’t want to admit it they try to embody African-American cultures, but openly deny African heritage.

They do what we do, but the boomers and millennials that are indoctrinated dislike it.

This is a different version of the same question being asked over and over again: why has the chica quality in the Su become so bad?

TLDR: Follow the money, Quality chicas don’t need to come to sosua anymore due to better options elsewhere.

Economically, certain areas of DR are developing fast, with or without the influence of mongers due to factors such as increased tourism, remittances (Dominicans abroad sending more money to the island), drogas, mafioso dollars going to things like real estate, etc. Chicas are always going to follow the money. With social media and dating apps, chicas no longer need to travel to a place like the Su to find $. The top chicas are going to get the most attention and $. The corollary to this is the low level chicas can’t compete against top talent, so the Su becomes one of a few options available for consistent income.

Regarding hip hop, that did not come from weekend warriors. DR culture among the youth is becoming more and more heavily influenced by American culture on many levels, especially music, Dembow artists copy their fashion straight from American rappers (Rochy RD looks just like lil Wayne for example).

As far as the weekend warriors, yes water meets its own level. but many of them found out about the Su because of YouTube, especially channels from expats like TMD. Singling out the weekend warriors would be ignoring a lot of the internal reasons why the Su will likely never be what it once was. Change is inevitable, adapt. If not, no sense complaining about how things are. Plenty of options elsewhere

The quality was down because the game changed.  Again, these dudes were yelling "Hold the line" when Dyckman was popping, which is what those young chicks were watching.  You see—none of these dudes are at the after-hour spots now. Hip hop culture in general. When Bailee’s last April, when I last visited, for the first in all the years I’ve been going there since 2006 starts playing hip hop music, you know Sosua is all hip hop. That Latin vibe is gone!
