Can someone give an up-to-date restaurant and bar review

I must add that La Catalina, the restaurant is not only a nice place ... the food is very good, they have a nice selection of wines and spirits too.

I was a monger When most of you were in elementary school.  I used to come down to Boca Chica and Sosua in the mid to late 90’s.  Chicas were $30-40 for a short time.  If you were a good looking guy and treated them well and paid for food, sometimes you hardly paid anything!

The food was a bit cheaper back then.  The beers were less than $2 each. 

Now I’m married with kids. I’m coming down with my wife for 4 days.  We plan on drinking, eating, beaching and maybe hooking up with a chica or so. Maybe she’ll hook up with a guy too!

Last time we came down was the summer before covid. We started into contract on a condo in sosua but backed out after I got scared —quite lucky because we wouldn’t have come down during the entire covid debacle.


Now can someone please give me the current lowdown in the bars restaurants and clubs?🤣

Sosua is the most reviewed place probably on the planet. There's 3 restuarant review channels at least one who has knowledge of the restuarant industry.

If you're a Monger then you know the price is whatever you're willing to pay. generally I keep it within 30 to 40 buck ST.

  i just got back that's a great post. I give no business to any one on that list. Except a few beach bars. But you have some good spots I ate a lot of Dominican food on my trip. Cocina Shanell 250 no steam table food next to Fat jessies and comidor maria on the beach 250 A meal no steam table food. And for a nice Italian meal Osteria across from flip flop. And there is a good BBQ chicken place 200 a plate or 300 for bigger one mixed meat or just chicken. Comes with garlic bread and potato salad. Down the block from Brick City flames. At the end of block that goes to main road. Right hand side before corner Look for the smoker. There is a small store next to it.

Terra Linda’s restaurant (Pizzeria Uno) is horrible, I don’t trust anyone who likes that shit. They used Doritos & cold nacho cheese for their sampler platter, and they added f**king green peas & carrots to Chicken Fettuccine. I feel like they were better when I visited previously, but they were horrible this past weekend.

Bailee’s had the best food overall, Flip Flop’s wings were solid too, but I only get wings there.
