The only way BB can survive is from the rooms, bar and restaurant. There are only 22 rooms. When guys start drinking and eating out of private stashes in their rooms it kills the much-needed food and beverage revenue. Crackdowns by BB to limit guys bringing in their own beverages has been going on for years. Nothing new there. It once got to the point where guys were walking around with their own sippy cups poured from personal liquor or beer from their rooms.

Regarding another point you made, I've been going to BB for years and to my knowledge my bags have never been searched for outside booze. Rummaging through a guest's luggage is a sure way to kill the entire business. BB knows no guest is going to stand for that. I have always thought that this stuff about room searches for signs of outside booze was always just a myth anyway.

You can still have your own small liquor stash in your room but guys were taking it to an extreme. I have heard of guys who are hard-core beer drinkers attempt bringing in from the outside a case of beer a day. Imagine the havoc that plays on BB's revenue.

From what i understand now they search the bags and you get nothing. Also if they had reasonable prices people would try to dneak nesrly as much in. Action, reaction and all that.

But i hear you, owner can do what he wants. More power to him. But if your an experienced monger i feel like much better value can be found elsewhere.

Who exactly is in charge of searching bags at BB's? Let's be honest; the girls couldn't care less. The security guy at the door isn't there half the time and primarily posts up in the evening hours. Nico and company are typically in the office or tending to some issue. The cleaning ladies might snitch but a simple smile, "hola" and daily propina takes care of that situation completely. Is it the waitress/bar staff? If so, they can be avoided by simply walking to your immediate right at the entrance, past the rear of the restaurant, through the seating area and the pool and on up to your room.

So if I do a run up to Jenny's for cambio and pick up a bag of Doritos, a couple of candy bars and a large bottled water that's going to get me jammed up? Since none of those things are sold or even offered at BB's, I can't imagine anyone being even remotely concerned. Speaking of Jenny's, I think they open up everyday at 8am. BB's is damn near vacant and there's hardly any staff there at all from 8am to 10:30am during breakfast hours. You could smuggle a dead body and nobody would be the wiser.

The new owner lives in one of the rooms full time and is roaming around at all different hours day and night. So sure its possible to smuggle stuff in, but even the possibility of having an issue is enough for me to say no thanks. When on vacation, i dont want to have to f--k around with that sort of nonsense.

I want to hear specific examples from someone who actually had their items searched before I believe this is happening.

I call cap on most of the BS posted. No bag search and you can bring in who you want as long as they’re not previously banned. It doesn’t sound like someone complaining about a 200 pesos presidente is drinking top shelf alcohol…..The bar actually brings the most revenue for BB so patronize the bar and discreetly have your own if that’s necessary. But As far as mediocrity and average looks, to each his own. Yes, over half the stable are 6-7s but still an enjoyable time. A couple 8s still in the mix but usually the best are wifed up by the sucka for love ass gringos. The 7.5s to 8s don’t last 8 months before they show up to BB’s with suitcases for their gringo in shining armor to save them. But as long as pussy is being sold in the DR, BB has and will stand the test of time. Anywhere between costambar and the Su is prime realty for chica rentals so don’t exclude, include!

My understanding is the girls are not formal employees of BB and are not paid by BB but collect 100% of the ST or LT fee and BB keeps none of it.
BB only controls which girls are allowed on the property and when.
Am I correct with this understanding.

If that is the case how could they have anything to say regarding who the girls or the guests for that matter spend time with outside of BB premises

Does that mean the guests can't take a chica out to dinner at a restaurant outside of BB or do whatever with them outside of BB premises

How they heck could BB have any say over what a guest and chica do outside of BB

I can see them having some say as to bringing alcohol in from outside sources.

An establishment needs to be able to control the alcohol intake of a guest and be able to cut them off when they have had to much to drink

If they allow unlimited alcohol on to the property from outside sources they lose the ability to control that.

The water is not safe to drink there.  That is a fact, so no way can they force you to buy water from them.   That would absolutely be a deal breaker for me since I drink a fair amount of water when in the DR.   The water on their menu is 75RD which I assume is for a small bottle.   I desire much more water when I am there

Eating their food or not eating their food is also a choice and they can't tell a guest where  or what they can eat.

Actually I don't really care as I have little desire to go there other than maybe a ST hookup and hang around for an afternoon and I would drink from their bar while there.   But I would never stay there with those f upped policies

Good post, but Blackbeards, to my knowledge, has never forced guests to buy drinking water from the establishment. As a fan of Blackbeards, I am fully supportive on most fronts. But to suggest that BB forces guests to buy bottled water from the establishment is just wrong.  When there I have easily brought in bottled water from anywhere.

I blame myself for not being clear.

If you are a guest at blackbeards, you can take a chica off premises DURING HER SHIFT.

A chica outside of her scheduled hours cannot get caight with a bb customer off the hotel grounds.

I kniw this because i was in the dr 2 weeks ago and got introduced to a former bb girl by her cousin, another former bb girl who i have been banging for 5 years.

She told me she got fired for getting caught with a bb client on the malecon outside of her work hours. She said it has happened to others.

Also if you dont have a room at bb you can no longer come to bb, pay 1000 pesos, and take a girl out. Bb girls are only for bb guests now.

I personally know 2 guys i trust say it happened to them. Thats the only thing i cant personally confirm because i havent gotten a room there in 2 years, but all the rest i jave experienced first hand.

To put it in perspective i have spent holidays in the houses of bb staff in the barrio. Im plugged in there, i just dont go snymore because aint no way im paying 300 pesos for grsnde presidentes when at the same time the quality of girls dropped.

I go to the dr for at least a week everyone 2 months or so. Sometimes 2 weeks. And i know spanish, so i dont need bb.

But if you like bb thats awesome, go and enjoy. Itcan be a blast i just outgrew it. To each there own.

And if you dont beleieve me on the rule changes, go down there check it out and post a trip report. This stuff is all verified very easily.
