Current Hotspots
« on: May 04, 2022, 12:03:37 PM »
What it is fellas,

I'm coming down next week and wanted to get some info on the nightlife.
Last time I was there was 2019 pre-pandemic. I know a lot has changed so wanted to get my bearings. My go to spots were Bourbons and Classicos but I'm aware both locations are no longer there. What are the best spots for chicas currently?

Another note, does anyone know of any clubs nearby where the music is catered for Dominicans?

Nothing against hip-hop and whatnot but I don't like leaving the country just to immerse myself in more of the same.

I want to go somewhere where they bumping merengue and bachata all night, or at the very least, reggeton/demo. Spanish is my first language so I'm not afraid to venture beyond the strip and explore, I just need some direction.

As always thanks for everything fellas

A lot has changed since 2019. The nighttime hotspot is Kings/Rhumbas. Unfortunately, hip hop music dominate the scene in Sosua. You might want to go Puerto Plata, if you wanna Merengue and Bachata.

The most local place would be the bizarro world named.... NYC Drink! It's across from Ahnvee, too loud for me, completely authentic. Also Flow Car Wash just up the street from Ahnvee on the highway. They get performers in from time to time and the events look great.

Neither are prime destinations for mongering as they are local spots, but if you like that bachata and merengue so loud you can't breath, those are the places to go.

Thanks I was looking for something just like that 😅

I'll be down there for 10 days so will definitely stop by at some point just to check it out.

Do you know of anywhere in particular in puerto plata that's a hotspot?

I truly don’t know so don’t take my word for it. But I heard of a club called Kviar that might be  a place that might play an abundance of Merengue and Bachata.

Kviar is a disco at the casino in Puerto Plata
It is pretty similar to the night club bar at the casino in Sosua

These days to find bachata and the like gonna have to find local places to go
In Sosua pretty much going to be NYdrink and the Flow Car wash

Not sure its still open but Rio Verde out towards Montellano was a place you could dance.  Also a hotel right there if you want to hook up.
But it did get busted awhile back so not sure if its open now or not.   It's right before the bridge that recently failed.

There are also a couple places in Montellano

When you get there ask some of the local chicas where they go for bachata

Thanks for the info fellas. I'm going there for 11 days so definitely gonna take the time to check all these out.

Slightly off topic but I'm curious, which are the best beaches for hunting?

I've only ever been to sosua Beach and cabarete but I hear people here often mention playa alicia and playa chiquita and was just wondering what the scenes are like there in comparison to sosua. Cabarete is nice and all but we all know ain't no hoes over there.

There is no hoe scene at Playa Alicia. If there are prostitutes there, they aren’t actively soliciting themselves and may be with someone or family. From my experience playa Chiquita was a private beach unless you were staying over there because I didn’t see any land access without a gate for non residents. I seen some decent locals and tourist there but no real P4P out there either. You’d probably be better going to another city for P4P if Alicia and Chiquita were your hunting grounds beach wise.
Cheaper ways to do things, doesn’t indicate quality, or lack of

Na I've only ever hunted before in playa sosua which is why I was curious about the other ones since I've never been.

Thanks for the info though I guess Sosua Beach is where I'll be.
