@Hoosier get out of Sosúa there is a whole island to explore.     PapiViejo is correct because if you think 2k pesos isn't money to them then you don't understand the Dominican Republic economy.  The fact you state good looking chicas will not accept lower wages is only because you don't want to pay lower to make you feel like your getting a higher quality of chica. Just because they ask for it doesn't mean you need to give it. We are walking ATMs and they are trying to withdraw as much as possible. Many times I've
gone to an ATM and the amount I want to withdraw exceeds the ATM max amount but no where nere my daily limit. So what do I do?  I get what I can and by doing multiple transactions to get the amount I need. It's very seldom with the exception of casinos that I can walk up to an ATM and withdraw my daily limit. If your overpaying then you are the casino ATM giving them more than the average ATM.
Here is a better breakdown of how their pay is compared to the rest of the Dominican Republic wages based on national statistics from June 2021. Do your due diligence!!  This is the type of info you should know in every place you are mongering.

1.5k @4tpw = 25, 800 DOP ($454US) top 50% of RD wage earners
2k @4tpw = 34,400 DOP ($604US) top 20% of RD wage earners
3k @4tpw = 51,600 DOP ($906US) top 11% of RD wage earners
4k @4tpw = 68,800 DOP ($1208US) top 11% of RD wage earners
7k @2tpw = 60,200 DOP ($1057US) top 11% of RD wage earners
@tpw = times per week

I know rent is commonly between 3k and 10k in the barrio. So on any given day, a f--k in the day and one in the night covers rent for the month. Groceries in the barrio are roughly 1k a week, so after covering the rent on one day, she can basically f--k once a week and have 90% of her bills paid.

God forbid she likes to spend...she won't be turning down any of that money being offered!!

RE: BaRATas vs 3000+ Pesos Whores:

As much as I want to call PoonTang hardheaded, he may have a point.

At 1500 pesos, does she even earn enough to keep her ass clean?

Hell yeah!  At the extreme low of 1,500 if she gets that 4 times a week that's 6,000 pesos a week. Times 4.3 weeks is 25,800 pesos ($454 US) per month without propina putting her in the top 50% of wage earners in the RD. If she's getting 2k plus propina then she is getting a minimum of 34,400 ($604 US) plus per month. That puts her in the top 20% of income earners in the RD. Keep in mind I'm only calculating them working 4 times a week. So yes they make more than enough and more than a good portion of the non pro workers in the surrounding businesses.

Thanks for the explanation.  Sometimes, I forget what a basket of goods costs in the RD economy.

So basically, if she's charging 4k, 5k+ for ST, then she's price gouging and driven by avarice, no?

In MY opinion yes because dudes are willing to pay. Trust me the only chicas that won't come off their wishful price are the ones who are being taken care of by receiving monthly or weekly donations from men. If a chica can get a few dudes to send her a combined $800 a month or more she's making more than a nurse and a lot of white collar professionals. When I first got to the RD for my job in the early 2000s production plant managers were making about $800 US a month. Those same manager jobs are paying about 1k US a month today. So like I said compared to the rest of the RD workforce the chicas are well paid. We need to stop trying to compare the RD wages to anywhere else and accept them for what they are low and easy on the pocket.

There is no chica worth f—-ing that’s gonna take 1500 pesos (or even 2000 pesos) in DR right now. Only gutter rats are accepting those rates. Let’s be clear. Smh.

Every single girl in Sosua is a f u c k i n g hood rat. They are disgusting. And mother f u c k e r s, mostly from New York, created them.

They took a nice, clean, sleepy little town, and f u c k i n g destroyed it and turned it into a ghetto. How dare they complain. They need to live with what they have created.

I'm off to Colombia and I will never look back or even think about the Dominican Hoodrat Republic.

Damn Hoosier WHO HURT YOU???! You been there since last year and NOW you say that?? Some chica must have gotten over, rolled you like they did Tug or you caught her getting f--ked raw n skeeted in by her another gringo after she told you she loved ya lol😂😂😂

I've been sitting in the cut and critically observing everyone's comments for over two years.

Having said that, his parting comment is the least subtle of his previous comments (e.g., "big t-shirt gang").

The question is... does his point have merit?

I try to be reasonable and see the other person's point of view.
He was openly racist and his point has no merit...unless you want to let a city avoid any responsibility for itself.

From the standpoint of the hoes that are actively catering to the brothers he has a point. There’s a level of disrespect they’re starting to show that makes them toxic. I love Sosua, but even I was percolating a layer of disgust on my last visit. What saved me was spending time with a few of the local girls who aren’t immersed in the scene. It literally was like a breath of fresh air. They helped me remember why I keep going back to the place.

Thanks for the input.   There are always different perspectives and all possibly having merit.   Your comment conjures another question.  From where did the disrespect arrive?  Was it imported via the omnipresent media?   People around the globe consume American media.

I simply think they look at us as  culturally insensitive marks and their interactions with us reinforce that. To them most of us are squares that can’t get pussy at home and overpay for poor service. But, on the other hand think our shit doesn’t stink. Adding to that AAs are some of the most xenophobic people on the planet and cultivate resentment every where go in numbers. When it comes to that at heart we’re just as bad as white Americans except we like to pretend we’re down for the cause. Constantly disrespecting folks has a way of causing them to harbor dislike for you.

That's an interesting perspective.

Speaking of xenophobia, an example, whether perceived, (or real), or intentional (or unintentional), is the ADOS/FBA movements vs black immigrants.   The former aren't doing themselves any favors by shitting on black immigrants and vice-versa.   It comes across as intolerant.

As far as disrespect is concerned, can you give me some examples?

Further, which came first the chicken or the egg?  Who issued disrespect first, black tourists or the locals?   The question may be moot, because I believe the saying of "their country, their rules."

It is incumbent upon visitors to understand the locals, not the other way around.  Perhaps, an attempt to learn the language is a good starting point.

Some brothers disrespect Dominicans simply because they can’t speak English or listen to Latin music. The biggest source of disrespect rests on the belief that they are economic inferiors and as such aren’t deserving of respect from me the rich tourist. You see where this is going. AA folks are generally intolerant of the “other”. Ask any black immigrant that’s gone to a majority black public school  and you’ll hear the same stories of exclusion and ridicule. Trust me Dominicans in Sosua did not start harboring dislike for brothers until we gave them a reason to do so. The question is why do many of us feel Dominicans should accept without objection conduct that we wouldn’t accept back home in our own neighborhoods?

That is exactly why I stress learn the language and local customs of wherever you are visiting. When I was traveling to China for work 3-4 months a year it made a huge difference that I understood their customs and knew enough of their language to greet and treat them with respect. The same goes for the RD and other Latin countries. I've been learning Spanish because it makes it easier for me to function in their country. I show everyone the respect they deserve. I socialize with them on their level and invite them to chill with me. If they invite me to a function I don't worry about how bad the place looks or how run down their home is. It doesn't bother me. I've been to homes that are literally tin roof shacks with hardened dirt floors and had some of the most enjoyable fun. When people know you are genuine with them it is a huge game changer. Like I've said before Sosúa is a base of operation for me to explore other areas. It's nice to travel to other cities and not knowing anyone end up at a function and having a great time with genuinely good people you've just met. What's even better is when they invite you back. Some on here scoff when some of us keep repeating learn some spanish, learn Bachata and Merengue, and the local customs and you will be surprised at how far you can go.
If you can't change the outcome of a situation then don't worry about it.

Poontangclan you are part of the problem with chicas asking for the high prices. You are that dude who goes to Ahnvee and pays 7k for a chica you call an solid 8. There is no chica worth 7k in my opinion. That same chica if approached outside of Ahnvee the price will be a lot lower when there is nothing else to do. Your that dude who always equates cost with being better. Maybe you don't possess the skills so you just throw money out there to catch the chicas. There is hardly any chica from zero to ten who will turn down 7k for an overnight visit. So keep throwing your stacks out there unnecessarily to make yourself believe that you are getting a higher quality of women over others who pay less. Keep paying the RETAIL price at the overpriced Ahnvee outlet and we'll keep paying WHOSALE prices for the same chicas.

Dothedamnthing,

I’m confident that you’re NOT bedding the same chicas I’m bedding at “wholesale” prices and getting the same experiences I’m getting. 😆

I’m amused by folks like you who believe they can purchase a Porsche with Nissan Maxima money, lol. This is not about “overpaying.” This is about paying what’s reasonable.

The chicas that are accepting lowball prices DURING THE DAY are hustling so hard in the DAY when it’s not even prime time, because they haven’t been getting a lot of business in general.

Why aren’t they getting enough business so they don’t have to hustle so hard in the day? Because like I said, they’re probably not high on that desirable chica list.

Whatever you’re getting for 2,000 pesos and less during the day is more than likely a chica I wouldn’t look twice at.

We are dealing with people who are self employed. When you are self employed you don't let money walk away. If you do you will be broke, starving, and out of business. If you are constantly waiting for the big score you will not survive. A steady stream of income is the key to prosperity for self employed people. The women I hit during the week are not the desperate ones trying to convince me to screw now for the lowball price like you assume. Those chicas are ALWAYS available. I choose the women I want to potentially be with during my month plus long stays.  I'm not that dude who has to smash instantly because my time is limited. I don't have to chase chicas. I have time and patience, they WILL contact me. I can almost guarantee it's when things are slow for them and they've had time to recover from the weekend rush they just did. I don't care when but if they are on the screw list it's a potential go. We talk, meet for them to be vetted, and then we move on from there. My time with them is not rushed and quality time. Some are the same chicas that are asking top dollar on the weekends when the weekend money comes to town.
If you can't change the outcome of a situation then don't worry about it.
