Hotel Platino and Casino (Santiago)
« on: September 13, 2022, 08:07:04 AM »
I'm planning to spend a night or two in Santiago on my next trip.  Has anybody stayed at Platino? If so, how's the chica action in the casino? Thanks.

Chica action at the casinos in Santiago are dismal and not like SosĂșa. Been to them a few times and full of regular out of shape middle aged and granny type. Employees are the only lookers for the most part.
If you can't change the outcome of a situation then don't worry about it.

Yeah, I get dental work done at Dental Cibao Spa in Santiago, including dental implant surgery. Great dental surgeon there and the place is totally modern and on par with places in the U.S. Most times I go there are other Americans in the waiting room.  His office is only a few blocks from the bus station, making it an easy commute from Sosua. My next trip I'm thinking about staying over a night or two. Just for the experience I'd take down a granny or two.

Stones if you do stay you have the option to use Skokka and order up a chica. Platino is a solid spot with a bar, resturante and good breakfast. It's easy to vette a chica in the bar casino area before going to your room. I use Skokka when I'm in the bigger cities and don't feel like going out. There are other spots close by.

Just stayed there Stones..I landed at 2am and was at the hotel around 315 and checked out the casino. Relatively small place and had about 20 people in there on the machines and at a few tables playing cards.   A couple of tired looking chicas at a slot machine so I passed lol. Didn't appear to be much action. Whatever there was could have been there earlier. With that I had a beer and called it a night as I had to head to Sosua around 11.

Not a nightclub/disco scene like you have up in Sosua with playa chiquita and Coral Reef in town brimming with chicks. Probably best for you to line something up for when you land, IMHO. I've stayed here before and it's a nice safe and clean spot and the staff is helpful and cool with you arriving late. Good breakfast as well. They will also exchange your money for you at a good rate. This is definitely my place to stay when in Santiago.

Thanks, DTDT. I checked out Skokka and man, that site looks like the wild, wild wet! Lol. Some good talent there though. Definitely considering pre-booking.

@Ted68,

One advantage I'll have is that I have a flight  that will be landing around 3:30 p.m. That means I could be through customs, checked in at the hotel and at the bar by 5 p.m. That will give me plenty of time to consider the chicas who are immediately on deck. Looking forward to it.
