Recent Night Life/ Bailee Sky Lounge
« on: February 09, 2024, 11:39:15 AM »
I’m not sure if anyone posted about this, but Bailee Sky Lounge has been shut down.  I’m thinking that’s why Sosua Inn is dipping their toes in the water regarding selling.  I don’t know all the details but it seems like it was Willy.  As you know Willy owns the casino at playa Chiquita and he does not want anyone messing with his money…we see what happened to Classicos.

Willy is getting out of control and is really taking advantage of us.  It was Friday night and I was in true weekend warrior mode, so I said F it…let me enjoy my night and buy a bottle.  A Don Julio bottle is $11,000 I believe.  That is a little high, but it’s Sosua so whatever….but what got my blood boiling was they told me that I had to pay the other guy $3000 for the table…WTF…where am I suppose to drink my bottle on the floor…am I tripping?

Im guessing the owners of the sky lounge didn't ger clearance before investing all that money? The bottle incident...Adding to the reasons why some have called it quits there.

I dont know, i find it hard to believe that the owners of Sosua Inn dont know the ins and outs of doing business in the DR, they got too much money invested to not know what they doing

He not taking advantage of y'all. He capitalizing off the influx of dub dubs coming to sosua willing to pay goofy ass prices to do shit they normally couldn't do at home. I respect him for it.

Too right, Dub Dub's wanting to be half price ballers getting played. Back when, guys only tried to blend in, keep it simple, enjoy what local life had to offer. Back then most of the Americans I knew were Vets who had served all over the world and knew how to move in a third world country, with respect.

Used to be to get a table all you had to do was sit down at a empty table. Buying a bottle is standard when going to a club in Latin America since forever. Dominicans been doing it since forever. Dubs dubs made such a big deal out of it that the Dominicans are taking advantage of y'all. Not surprising from a demographic of dudes who brag about paying more than necessary.

They will charge as much as dudes will pay. When I paid more for the same bottle of vodka in Sosua than in Punta Cana, a place known for being overpriced, I knew it was over.

I can only hope to see the day the Dub Dubs stop coming. They ruined the place. It's just not Americans, I've seen them from Canada, UK and Europe, millennials and gen z's with zero smarts on how to monger.
