Greetings Fellow Sosua Travelers : Let me first start off by saying that i am a frequent visitor to "THA LAND OF FUNK" an i've enjoyed each and every moment of it. I have been there 24 times an i'm hoping to make more appearances very soon. During my many trips there i've seen it all and i've heard it all , The Classico getting raided and the shut down of Passions,But the craziest thing was when they put up windows on all the remaining night clubs that are still open and let's all hope that authorities there don't shut them down. I was just there for the Super Bowl and even though it rained i still had a wonderful time. Someone once told me at my job that Costa Rica was way better than Sosua and i gave em a look like i was about to smack em. The Dominican is in a World all by itself and regardless of us all being harassed by children begging for money or wanting to clean our shoes,moto taxis asking if we need a ride,ladies asking if we would like a massage,or even the men on the corners wanting to exchange our money, it's still a great place to kick up and drink a cold presidente..  If you have facebook.com look me up.... costa rica is a little more expensive! the Columbians there are the best! my wife is Costa Rican /American and has family there so I go every year! Jaco is the place to go for sun and fun! honestly DR is the best to me! price and overall fun!

I did the San Jose, Costa Rico thing 3 times. I didn't visit Jaco but I was not fond of everything being centralized to just the casino hotels in San Jose. On top of that (and of course no offense to the earlier poster because I do not know their wifey) but I was not too keen in being in a country where the "badder chicks" were imports (Colombians). Of course, almost ALL of the import Colombian chicks are in the game. Don't get me wrong, I have the Colombian chicks ranked as "1A" behind Brazil...with D.R. chicks right behind Brazilians and Colombians.

With the D.R., I can do Cabarete, Cofresi, Santiago, La Vega and Santo Domingo...plus I like the golf course out in Rio San Juan. Also, the D.R. is only a 95 minute flight from Miami (I am in DC). I miss Brazil dearly, but for cost, flight time, condo deals and overall cost WITH very good-looking chicas, the D.R. is my spot right now.
