Punta Cana to cabaret or sosua

So I'll be on my first DR trip. My flights lands in punta Cana but I want to know the best shuttle or car rental for heading to Sousa since punta is too touristy. I want to avoid the inflated costs at all cost if possible. Was thinking of doing an airbnb but I need to first know hot to get to Sousa. What do you guys recommend? A rental car or a shuttle? And does anyone have 007 contact info? I hear he's a veteran and I want to make contact with him while there.
