So You're an Older Guy and Headed to Sosua? This is the Thread For You!

(1/33) > >>

Cigar56:
Great board here, but there is little info targeted directly at the 50-plus club. I thought I would start this thread for the "older generation" and it can grow over time. So here goes:

Q. I hear a lot of good recommendations about Blackbeard's Resort and Field of Dreams, in Sosua. What's the difference at those spots and the clubs in Sosua?

A. Blackbeard's and FOD are good spots, and keep reading this thread for more on Blackbeard's. Basically, younger guys who are still into the thrill of the hunt will most likely gravitate to Rumba's, DLatin and the other nightclubs on the strip. The action at those spots really gets going late at night on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. If you're an older guy, do experience it once. However, if you're over 50, you may find yourself more comfortable in the more laid-back pace of Blackbeard's and FOD.

Q. I am 61. Should I be embarrassed to get with a 20-year-old chica?

A. No. All she cares about is your money. In fact, you could have an advantage, because the chica may feel you represent less work than the younger guys.  At 61 you may be good for one round, maybe two and you're probably not going to quibble about price. Then when you get back to the states, you may send her money sometimes or stay in touch. So yeah, Grandpa, the chicas will be digging you, big time. No worries there.

Tip: Don't be Grandpa. Negotiate fair but hard, fully get your freak on and then keep it moving to the next chica. Don't get into any sort of relationship with the chicas or get involved in their personal lives. It's a service. Leave it at that.

Q. I'm a little older guy and nervous about getting started. What's the easiest way to break in?

A. Try Blackbeard's Resort for a couple days if you want to start with training wheels. Apparently Blackbeard's is a favorite spot for a lot of guys 65-plus -- although there are guys hanging out there who are much younger. Blackbeard's even says on its website that it welcomes older guys, and there are YouTube videos that show retirees hanging out at Blackbeard's.

Q. What if I get sick in the DR? My wife thinks I'm going with my buddies just to play golf.

A. You can get sick or have an accident anywhere, so don't fret about that. Before you leave call your health insurance carrier and talk about coverage in the DR. If you have insurance then usually the only cost to you if you get sick is the co-pay for the emergency room visit. If you DON'T have insurance, then get some. Also: stay off the Motoconchos (scooters). You don't want to fall off one of those things and hurt yourself.

Q. Can I get Viagra down there without a prescription?

A.  Check some of the other threads. I think the answer on that is yes. I personally believe it is better to bring that with you. Also get your condoms before you leave the states, maybe on the way to the airport if that works. Buy more than you think you'll need.

Q. How can I make sure the chica is of legal age?

A. Ask her for her ID: "Su identificación." if she does not want to show it to you, or says she lost it, keep it moving to the next chica.

Q. I have always had a fantasy about two girls at once. Is that possible?

A. Easy as pie. They use the term "Happy Hour" at Blackbeards to describe this. Warning: Girls all over the DR will steal from you. They will be able to tell if you are a newbie, and one may distract you while the other steals from you. There are other threads here about how to "chica-proof" your room. Read them. Also, don't get drunk and then go hunting for chicas. You'll be an easy target. One more thing about the threesomes: Don't expect it to be like the movies with you in one doggie style while she eats the other girl out. Sure, that's probably happened, but more likely one of the girls will simply play with her phone while you do her friend, and then she'll take her turn. Fantasy aside, you may be better off with one hot chica at a time.

Q. Can I do this solo?

A. You can, but you'll need to keep your wits about you. Consider starting out at Blackbeards for a couple days if you're new to the mongering game. There will be other older guys who are at Blackbeards for the same thing you are and chances are you'll find them all friendly and willing to share advice. The worst thing you can do is charge into Sousa unprepared and then let street hustlers or taxi drivers show you around. They'll make sure you have a good time but you'll pay triple or quadruple what you should have spent.

Q. At my age even with my Viagra it takes a little while before I am "ready." And I don't speak Spanish. So what do I do when we get back to the room?

A. The important thing to remember is that you are paying for a service and you should not feel rushed. That's why you should pay her AFTER your time is up and not before. Have some music on your phone and have her start with a massage or some lap dances. Then maybe you sit back in a chair and watch her pose for you in a number of positions before you move on to the main events. That's right, if you want her to spread for you like it's a Hustler shoot while you wake up Mr. Happy, then go for it. This is not the time to be shy! Besides, you can't ask these chicas anything they haven't heard before. Have Google translator app on your phone so you can punch in words like massage, if necessary. The main thing is that you have to take control and tell her what you want. Don't get hoodwinked into a 10-minute session.

Q. How many "pops" can I get in a session? Nowadays if I am real excited I can get that first one pretty quick.

A. It is true that there are some chicas who will try to leave as soon as you pop. And at our age, we don't want any trouble, right? So we just pay them and let them go. So if you're basically a one-pop guy, be sure to get all that foreplay in -- the massage, nude lap dances, having her pose for you nude on the bed while you fondle Mr. Happy. Imagine what all of that would cost you in the states with a dime piece vs $35 to $50 in US equivalent in Sosusa.

Q. I am staying at a resort. Can I bring a chica back to my villa?

A. It depends. Some resorts will allow you to have a visitor, but you may have to pay about $50 US for your guest to enter the grounds. If you must stay at the villa, you're better off also having a cheap room within walking distance of the action in Sosua. You can also rent some rooms near the action for just a few hours. But this gets into advanced mongering, so if you're a total newbie you'll want an experienced wing man with you on this sort of thing, or really, really do your homework before arriving at your resort.

Q. Are there older chicas available?

A. Depends on how old you mean. The question though is this: Why? Relax, have some fun and don't worry about the age difference.

That's all for now. Please add your feedback and tips.

bumpy:
Cigar, I think this is a great topic.  Although I am not that age, I travel with guys who are.  The are always worried before they get there.  I tell them, this is not the states.  Don't worry about it.  The problem that I alway see is the get to loose with their money because they simply cannot believe it's happening to them.  I tend to tell them it's like buying a car, you would not pay 50K for a car you can get for 15K.  Basic economics.  The real deal hear is to go and enjoy yourself.  It's best to go with someone who knows the lay of the land, but if can be done by yourself.  You just need to be smart about how you handle yourself.  I think Blackbeards for the newbie is perfect.  It gives you a chance to figure thinks out and to be safe too.  Thanks for the words CIgar.

ccontraction:
bumpy...good points...that blackbeard suggestion is on point...they need to go there where the chicas are made to order...then take a trip to sosua with someone who knows!

vpchill:
Great Post but AGE really doesn't matter. Pesos do.

Cigar56:
Thanks, bumpy, ccontraction and vpchill.

I decided to write this just to add the older guy's perspective and get past the issue of age. And VP is right -- all that matters is pesos. But as bumpy noted it can take older guys a minute to get used to what is actually happening before there eyes. I'm just trying to help guys avoid overspending until they get the hang of things -- and to play safe.
