How many people travel to sosua by themselves without there boys do you have the same fun or is it a little different because you are by yourself. I mean being with a chica will be the same but not having your peoples around you to drink a beer how is that…also does anyone know the going rate for for taking a taxi from the airport heading to sosua. or does anyone have a contact hookup that I can use to pick me up and drop me back off. Thanks in advance

Been travelling solo with no problems.  First trip to Sosua went solo made 2 travel friends.  We plan trips / met up in Sousa but we spend more time moving solo than as a crew.  Last year went solo with no issues.

Solo Dolo every trip except the first. Sometimes i'm social and kick it with fellow mongers that I meet or have met there.. Other times I just stay to self and do my thing with the chicas.
It's kind of hard to not have a good time there with or without a crew.

with friends.

I’m on maybe my 20th trip right now and I’ve never come with anyone. Always solo. I guess the only downside to it is the activities and things what you would usually split the cost on, I don’t do. For instance I’ve been coming here 6 years now and I still haven’t been on a boat, and I have stayed in a Villa twice, but in my eyes, it’s not worth paying that amount of money per night by myself. So I don’t get the private pool experience. Other than that, I’m fine with being here alone. I went to Laguna Dudu and Playa Diamante in Cabrera on Sunday and brought a chica with me. Great time. Went 4 wheeling the other day with a chica on my back. Great time. In sosua I may travel alone, but I’m never alone. I’m here for girls, not to chill with dudes. I’m fine here solo.

always by myself. i also always get a villa even tho im solo. one time took my nephews with me and its the only time i got into bullshit with chicas (pricing). even tho i told him "make sure your clear upfront what the price is" he still managed to make the rookie mistake. you get to do what you want, when you want. cant beat that

What villa do you recommend for the solo traveler?

i only do residencial Hispaniola or casa linda. Hispaniola is close enough to walk to the strip but for casa linda, I'd recommend renting a car

8/10 solo. Not for everyone, some people prefer the security blanket of the homies being around. I prefer traveling solo because it forces you to do more and I get more accomplished.

I've always done mongering trips alone and love it.  With research done on this site and YouTube I was able to learn enough to plan and enjoy my first trip about 4 years ago and never stopped.  Its not hard to meet people when travelling solo if you need wingman.  We are all out here for the same things.

As far Youtube vids go, they should be viewed with a grain of salt because it is monatized, its all about the views. That said, many supply very good info. Even the the bad ones can be funny. lol

I have gone for up to 4 months solo. Many expats I have met there like to go on day trips, all you have to do is ask and split the gas. Once they know your fun to hang with and not a cheap-ass your good to go.lol

That's a great idea and if youre chopping it up with someone and they mention going somewhere out of town...Always offer to split the gas if you can join them!  It's bound to be way cheaper than a cab!  Go for it!!

If you ever get a chance to go to a Pro League baseball game in Santiago go for it, it was a great time. Alot like a colledge football game, loud and fun. hahaha. In the winter some Dominican U.S. Pros play in this League
