Newbie Questions
« on: July 05, 2021, 11:48:39 AM »
I will be making my first trip down to Sosua at the end of July and maybe some of you vets can help me out by answering the following questions.

How do I get from the POP airport to my hotel in Sosua? Should I schedule beforehand a service to pick me up, or can I catch a cab outside the airport? and what is the going rate I should expect to pay for a cab to sosua?

Also, I don't wanna overspend on women and ruin the game for others. With that being said, what is the going rate to have a girl for one hour?

Thanks Fellas!

Your best transportation from airport to hotel is found here...

www.tropiclink.net

The website is not easy to navigate but it can be done.  It's a good service.

Chica prices are gonna depend on quality of chica and your bargaining skills.  Don't exceed 3K for a hit and run.  Your learning curve will be steep.  Try to find someone with experience to help you learn the ropes.  Chicas are slick!  Vetting the chica will pay off in the long run.

1.Cab should be no more than 1500 pesos or around $25 us
As soon as you walk out of the airport there is a taxi stand with a set. Fixed price.

2. The going rate is whatever your willing to pay. Not what they say. Remember your the prize not them.

3. Never tell anyone its your first trip their. Trust me you will thank me later

4. Try to remain calm and composed at all times and not like its your first trip. You will thank me later.

Any further questions send me a dm.
The first trip is the best one in my opinion enjoy

You spend more time f--king around on this transport site than is worth it. I searched for a trip to STI, no savings over a taxi.  It "may" be an option for groups or obscure locations but no need for a single traveller going to Sosua.

Walk outside, say "taxi" before the 10-20 guys out there start yelling "taxi" at  you. Tell one your hotel, if it's in Sousa, it's $25US, the posted rate. Have correct change. Confirm before you get in the cab.

The rest, spend some time looking at trip reports, lots of info on here.

I have a driver if you want his contact info but honestly if your coming from puerta Plata you might as well just hitch a taxi. Don't pay over 1500 pesos.
My most recent trip I paid from 2500 to 300 short time. I paid one 3500 but she was a 10 in my book. And the price went down because I seen her a few more times lol. Don't be stupid and pay 100 us dollars like cats been doing, But also don't let a bad one go over 10 bucks either.
Curfew is a pain sometimes but still can have a great time.

Threads like this popping up every week now from "newbies"...even tho answers to this posted already 500 times. Then the "Tropilink" comment follows lately.....highly dubious I would say.

$20 will get you a taxi to Sosua, walk through the crowd and across the road to the cab stand with $20 in your hand, don't let anyone touch your bagage!!! They will expect to be payed for nothing. As a vet I will make stops on the way, normally pay 1000 p. for the cab and 200 pesos per stop. Super Mercado and Super Super Liquer store, pay at the end. Oh and an extra 50 p. if he helps bring in your shit.
