Debating blackbearda or sosua

I recently wrote my report about Santo Domingo. Was awesome in May.  But I am looking for a different experience.

I have stayed in Santiago and Santo Domingo now. Both were trips where I spent time hitting on girls at the mall or around town. Going on dinners hooking up etc...

I think I want to experience a very relaxed trip.  Where I am the hunted. No dinners, just relaxing at the beach, pool, no effort...if thay makes sense. 

Do you guys think sosua or blackbeards is better for this? 
Looking for updated points of view...so please dont tell me to researxh because I have.

Um, as everyone here knows, I am a big fan of Blackbeards. That said, I would not take a trip to Puerto Plata unless I knew I would be able to spend quality time in Sosua, and in Costambar, where Blackbeards is located.  However, whatever you think you can find at Blackbeards -- you can find the same thing in Sosua. So just do both and call it a day.

Thats actually a good idea , maybe 3 days in blackbeards. Wondering if puerto plata is better for the other half or sosua.

Depending how many days you have available, just save yourself the trouble and do both. 

BB and Sosua are within 45 mins to an hr of one another.  Start out in Sosua....take a day trip to BB to check it out (i.e. sit, have a few drinks, meet some girls, etc).  While at BB, if it's something you think you can vibe with, then schedule a night or two (or more) there.

BB, Sosua, and Puerto Plata are too close together to not experience them all.

Sosua would be the better choice -- unless you really speak Spanish well. The further away you get from Sosua, the less English you will hear. If you don't speak Spanish you'll struggle with mongering in Puerto Plata too. Get your feet -- and dick -- wet by hitting up Sosua and Blackbeards both on your first trip. Once you're back at home, commit to learning some Spanish and then your experiences will really, really grow.

Well he mentioned that he's already stayed in SD and Santiago.  If those places were no problem, then POP should be a breeze.

Just stay in Sosua and relax at the beach, restaurants and bars all day n night and you will be HUNTED by hundreds of chicas EVERY DAY! Some can't handle that so they go over to Blackbeards  where its more relaxers safe and the same menu every day...

Do Both  Hit black beards for the relaxed atmosphere and no bullshit with chicas set prices,, its a short taxi ride to the malecon if you are staying at black beards and want to venture out for a half day  then go to sosua for the wild west chica show,, the only bummer is the taxi gouge  $50 one way or a hundo round trip.. other than that have fun !!!!!

If you must do Blackbeard's do it at the end of your trip when Sosua chicks and the grind has worn you down.  Then you can chill at the bar for your last day and have your food (chicas) served on a platter and hand-fed to you...

And don't rent a car lol...

Thanks for the memories haha  chicas at blackbeards   funny as hell made the mistake of saying mabey,,to a chica,,well at   at 0800 hours ,chica comes  nocking on my door,,,   tallish chica small  boobs , I had mentioned to her  late last night  .i like to taste toto,,,  You bet chica moustache rides to climax  only in the DR haha !

Then BB is the best solution for you ... for sure you will be the hunted there ... no BS, no haggling on prices ... nice beach nearby and a couple restaurants, much more restaurants 20 minutes from BB in Puerto Plata. And you have the option of going to Sosua if you fin BB too boring for you.

Thanks everyone.  Think it makes sense to start at sosua then head to BB for 2-3 nights toward the end of my trip.  Based on my research seems like sosua inn might be my best choice. 
I used to love the hunt but my last trip to Santo Domingo, I felt so tired at the end of it lol

I do both every trip.  Black beards you are definitely the hunted and you don't have to go anywhere to be hunted.  I go there for the relaxation and ease of everything but its limited to the amount of things to do other than that.  Thats whey I go to Sosua,  to see a better variety and more activities other than pool time and a slow beach.

All the comments about being hunted brings to mind my own experiences on the matter. The only place I’ve spent much time and didn’t feel hunted was Jarabacoa.

Frequent the same places, restaurants or bars, all over the island and you will be approached. They can’t stand the sight of a single Gringo without a female companion.

Those that travel outside of the greater Puerto Plata area know this to be true.
