Write your offer on a piece of paper. Start at 1500 pesos

Easiest way is with a language translation app, whichever is your favorite. Prepare your question ahead of time, approach her, smile be cool whatever, and show her the phone. They are used to it, and will probably know how to work the app better than you. The alternative is that she might go "I speak english" in which case you'll just laugh and be embarrassed like we all do. From there the conversation can go on.

It goes without saying that just like buying a used car the first price will be based on how new you look, what type of clothes you're wearing, and how much gold you're wearing. Likewise, your price depends on how you're willing to bargain, a few years ago pre-bug I did everything I wanted for around 1500. I haven't been in a few years so the economy will be different, especially with the influx of people willing to pay outrageous prices because of some "im rich" ego trip. Personal opinion, so I digress.

TL;DR
1. Use translator (mobile app)
2. Be explicit with what you want and negotiate price upfront before you leave that spot.
3. When I was a newb I was instructed that 1500 was the going rate for short time, and anything above was just "greasing the gears" per se, or just saving yourself bargaining time.
4. HAVE FUN, ITS A VACATION. DO NOT GET ON THE PLANE WITH REGRETS.  8)

Always negotiate with them in RD rather than USD.

They know you are a simp if you try to negotiate in US dollars and will take advantage of you.

@jd that is the best piece of advice and 100%. and start at 1500. if she is asking for 100-150 dollars she is not into you or does not respect you. move on to the next.

hi, devils advocate here....

isn't it also possible to negotiate in dollars just keep it low like one would in pesos if u know the reasonable ranges ?

if u know u shud pay 2500...then offer that in dollars

its not like these chicks cant download a converter app. they know the same things we do.

i think dollars or pesos is fine. just know what u SHOULD be paying..

I recently received an offer in dollars and I responded in lower pesos than my normal price with a caution that the next woman will accept honestly. And she replied that it was ok.

Imho always pay in pesos because it makes everything better for you.

Simple answer, always get it in writing with WhatsApp.  You can use a translator.  I always get their WhatsApp and walk away and negotiate through text.  I believe it gives you better leverage.  Also laugh at usd if they quote that and tell them they are not in the United States, they are in the DR. Don’t ask their price, say this is what I’m used to paying, and keep it in Pesos.  Don’t be afraid to walk away from a chica, plenty of fish in the sea.  They will always ask for 500-1000 pesos more than your offer.

As someone who has been mongering in the DR long before there was WhatsApp and most of the girls spoke Spanish my advice is to at least learn the numbers and the currency.   I have seen people overpay accidently because they get flustered around a foreign currency.  Paying one thousand when they should have paid one hundred.  Set your range in dollars of what you are willing to pay then learn how to say it in pesos (not that hard).  No need to be fluent but there should be some phrases you should know.  Some of best girls I have had over the years spoke very little or no English and some of the best English speakers are grifters.

WhatsApp is not a legally binding contract and grifters have been known to renege on an agreed upon price.  No one expects you to be fluent or conversational, but you should know some basics when it comes to money.  Never ask how much.  Tell them what you are going to give them.   If you don't lowball them too much but within your range, they will up the price by about 500 pesos and if you agree they see it as a win, and you have agreed to a negligible increase.  Everybody is happy.  I usually stay between 2000-3000 pesos range.

If you are communicating with the chica in her pidgin English, then pay attention to her demeanor when she speaks Spanish.  You'll get an idea of her true self even if you don't understand what she is saying.  You should be able to notice the tone of her voice and her body language.  As a newbie you want to avoid the ones that come across extremely hard when she is speaking Spanish to other Dominicans even when she comes across sweet in her pidgin English.  A lot of times that broken English disarm dudes and they don't realize they are dealing with a shark.

Test their patience, let them wait.  Order a drink and chill if she is rushing you then she may be a problem.  I avoid the ones who want to go to room right away.

OP, use Google translate before going to the DR with earphones...

Type in Spanish and hit the listen button....... Quiero contigo, y tengo 1.500 para ti

Now listen over and over, try some other short phases written in English, and learn. Only way to break the ICE for a beginner and have fun

Everyone has made good points. I would like to add, that Google Translate is a good APP to learn and store phrases for later use. You must use only simple english because contractions and slang get lost in translation, What you think you said my not be what she hears, LOL.

@lazy_monger @Pussyrus good advice.  Last year learned phrases / numbers in Spanish.  Made it easier to communicate / negotiate.
