If you don't have cell service STI has free wifi for a 3 hours if you look for it and accept terms

I did it from Santiago city to Costambar.  It was great. But that road is scary!

I definitely would not take that ride at night with an amateur driver. Any update on the price of Uber from STI to Sosua or Costambar?

I really don't recommend it.  My regular driver charges $100 from STI to Sosua.  He is safe, reliable, wifi, and has beers for the ride.  I saw uber was charging around $40, so I went the cheap route.  But like 3 drivers cancelled on me because they did not want to take that long ride.  I finally got one to take me by saying I will give him a tip.  But here is the thing...the route Uber quoted $40 for is not a real route or road most drivers take, so it was really $60, and with the tip $70.  Plus this guy was driving like a maniac, and I am use to NYC taxi drivers.  So i did all that to save $30.  So i guess what I am saying is sometimes it is good not to be penny wise and pound foolish.
