Touching down next week. Going to spend 5 nights in Puerto Plata and 1 night in Santiago. My main chica is a Puerto Plata native, so I don’t need any help there.

But looking for good places to eat in Santiago. I’m gonna be staying at Soha Suites, which is about a mile northeast of the monument. South of Avenue Juan Pablo Duarte and East of Highway 1.

Any ideas on stuff to do would also be appreciated. Only one night, so don’t have a lot of time.

Will probably take the chica to lunch at McDonalds since she’s never been. A taste of America lol.

Try Puerta Del Sol. Excellent food! It's across the street from the monument. Everyone knows the spot...including google maps.

Look for a restaurant called Hazlo Simple ... it's a hamburgers restaurant but on the fancy side.
very good quality food and not expensive.

Square one is about a 5 minute drive from your Hotel. They have some of everything. Breakfast, Lunch and dinner. Pancakes, Dominican food, Ribs, Fish, Burgers, Tacos, Ice Cream, Pizza, Alcohol, Milk Shakes...name it...

They keep customers. If you eat there once, then you will eat there twice.

Stop by Ahi Bar on fridays, you can find some of the best looking hoes sitting and chilling.

Square One was on point. Delicious and cost efficient!! Big ups from Papi!! On the down side....Tanque in SFM...they made me wait FOREVER for mediocre food, but the upside...there was a bonafide chappi at the next table! Her dna came back 98.8% Ho!!!

For lunchtime, there's a couple restaurants on the street right next to the monument ... don't remember the name but I went there with one of my mains since she was working that day and she works at the centro de convenciones just besides it. It's nothing exceptionnal but the food is good and cheap, my chica told me it's better at night but we never went at night.

Correct. There is something for everyone right across the street on two sides of the monument. Enjoy!!
