A good watch in regards to the mindset and capabilities of scammers.  Just substitute the location or gender and apply it to the DR or anywhere.

I took a look at some of her other videos. If you want or need a belly laugh take a look at this one. That little woman is hilarious.

I found her videos entertaining.  Nice change of pace from endless rambling videos that come out of Sosua.

I hate to say it, but I warned him.    A buddy of mine ( a vet ) on vacation, saw him this morning standing on the corner talking to a chica.   I had just left the Texaco gas station to return a phone that someone lost.

I stopped briefly to talk to him, and he tells me.  "Remember that thing you told me to stop doing?"   "Well ,  I got got recently."   They ( meaning she ) got his wallet with 6 cards in it.  CC, DC DL , and money etc.    See the thing is,  my buddy here always carries his wallet everywhere.   And he keeps it full with all of his stateside shit in it, including USD.   I dont know the particulars.  Like if he was pick pocketed or if it was stolen at his hotel.   But got, is got.

I know the dude was still sore over his loss.  But I had to tell him what I always say these days.  IF YOUR FRIENDS DONT TEACH YOU ( Or you dont learn from your friends ),  THE LOCALS WILL.    Better to learn some lessons from your friends and others experiences than to have to pay the price yourself for not taking heed.

Yeah, I carry a laminated copy of my passport, cash I may need and a just in case  card that doesn't have too much in the account on my person.  My boy learnt the hard way in Bogota about carrying everything on him.

Would you say Colombian girls are about that thief life in General? I've been a lot of places and only "dropped my phone" once in Africa but I got it back for a 20 dollar tip.

I only carry a photo copy of my passport and the money will spend for the day ( in a heavy steel money clip in the bottom of my pocket).

Care to elaborate?
Where you stand on the issue depends on where you sit.  The words enough, some, many , to whom it applies to, does not mean ALL of any people, places or things.

I can’t speak for LM but in my experience of Colombia (Cali, Bogota, Medellin, Cartagena & some smaller cities outside the bigger cities 1-2hrs away like Guatape/Tabio) Most of the girls are pretty decent if you take basic precautions. I left girls in my room in an Airbnb and didn’t get robbed, while blink and you miss it a girl might trying to steal some quick money out your clothing pile in Sosua. Still if you’re out partying and drinking with the girls at nightclubs and bar hoping, it’s an increased chance that one bad apple would drug you opposed to DR. Monger spots in DR have less girls so you’re likely to run into the thief again in my experiences.

I’ve heard of women popping a pill to see if anything happens but not sure what effect it really has on women. Might swell up the clot as it increases blood flow but I have no idea lol Chicas def know when a guy is on one cause they won’t nut or at least not as fast. The thing I hate most is when a chica starts the leche papi talk. I actually stop and pour a drink. Don’t tell me when to leche if I’m paying.

In the great DR vs Colombia debates everyone says that Colombia wins in everything but iservice especially from Independances/ freelancers. I hear it's hard to get a BBJ in Colombia (especially Cali)  and there's no park system for street pickups. I'm really interesting in checking out Cali and Choco but I prefer the fact that even a non spanish speaker can get numbers at the mall.

You hear people in Sosua complaing about Mongers barebacking chicks but you hear about nothing other than CBJ's in Colombia.

Ymmv and depends on how you are moving. Street pickups you’re either on foot, driving or utilizing a Taxi to cruise around. You can park your car but it’s not in the immediate vacinity of the girls unless you’re lucky. The cops who patrol need space If that’s what you mean by no park system for the street girls. It’s red light districts are just set up in the central area so while it’s infested with a lot of girls, hustlers and addicts, it’s still businesses there outside of the mongers. City vs island dynamics I suppose.

Not everyone wants to risk STDs from regulars or random so I get the bareback complaints(this is odd because I’m sure locals, and some expats are hitting raw). As far as CBJ it’s not the biggest deal breaker because depending on the girls, you not getting a GFE unless you take her home and let her know that you want to relax before getting to the action. I got offers to go raw, porn, and BBBJ last month in Colombia but I’ve been there 4 different times and can speak Spanish so my experiences are the same.

This was offered to me, but in my experiences most girls are purely about money then back to work because it’s stiff competition out there. It’s legit bad girls who are 18-22 from Venezuela undercutting the 18-22 year old Colombians in price so you have low prices and loads of girls in many cases, unless you going the online route or clubbing for pros. With that work load and little money to be made I’m guessing risking an std isn’t something they intend to do unless you have a lot of chemistry together. Colombia healthcare is ranked higher than Canada and the USA, and they really took Covid serious, so I’m guessing practicing safe sex is just ingrained in them also.

Cali I recommend but Spanish is needed, definitely more than Medellin. Chico I intend to visit next year, want to take a 1 month trip there.
