On that budget you can pretty much be assured your

Not eating 3 meals a day that don't include rice and beans
Not going to Bailee
Not going to Ahnvee other than to hang out
Your bringing your own drink to the beach or basically not drinking
Not buying chicas any food or drink


Who wants to fly all that way only to not be able much with such a restricted budget.

Gentleman, gentlemen...in this case I'm talking about the capital. Although it could apply to the Su as well. 300peso breakfast, 400 peso lunch and 400 dinner is 1100 pesos.
And thats still under 20bucks.

Just got back from a 25 day trip  Spent $6000 usd  Thats $240 a day  includes hotel, cab fares, Chica gifts, food shopping  ,cigars ,dinning out!
So the $200 a day is a good budget albeit i over did it on the chica gift department, Also Chica damage control  !!!!!! And getting screwed by the taxi mafia !

Tug, you should always rent a car. It locks in your transportation costs in at 2500pesos each day.

Earlier in the thread it was $60 a day or 3,500RD now its only $43 a day or 2,500RD.
So which is it.  That extra $17 a day will come in handy for your food budget won't it.

Do you include gas in that figure or is gas not necessary since the car is parked most of the time.

That's the most comical thing you said in this thread is that you are telling him to spend $60 a day to rent a car that will be sitting most of the time but only spend $20 to eat.

I would prefer eating decent meals when I am there and eat and drink wherever I want to which will never happen on a $20 budget.

We all know you are a big advocate of renting a car since you mention it in nearly every one of your posts.  You must be getting kickbacks from someone.

But what you consistently fail to mention is that driving in the DR is not for someone that has no experience in the country yet you are telling dudes that have never set foot on the island that they should be renting a car and driving all over the place.  Even you know that is stupid advice.

And renting a car while staying in Santo Domingo is a waste of time especially with a curfew.
